Incredible Sound/Affordable Price
Really good stuff at a really good price is where it's at. So we took really good stuff, grabbed it by the neck, held it down and force-fed it Creatine and Ginko Biloba. We mixed it up with patented Polk technologies and a reckless desire for big volume output. We created speakers with better performance, bigger volume and better value -- the db Series. db Series is classic Polk Audio: outrageous performance and durability at a price that will please your wallet.
The db570 technologies and features:
- Dynamic Balance Polymer/Mica Composite Mineral Filled Cone is stiff yet lightweight for big sound, little distortion.
- Marine Certified Polk db Series speakers are built tough to withstand the toughest environments so they are perfect for use in boats of all types. That's why Correct Craft offers Polk Audio speakers in their award-winning Nautiques ski and wakeboarding boats.
- 19mm Liquid-Cooled Silk/Polymer composite Dome Tweeter with Neodymium magnet for clear, detailed highs. (db690 Model features 25mm Tweeter & 19mm Super-Tweeter)
- High and low pass filters (Crossovers), deliver clearer, more accurate midrange and glare-free highs, with more natural-imaging than other speakers in this class that use single stage high-pass only filters.
- Low-mass 2-Layer 25mm Kapton Voice Coil former is lightweight for high sound output. Kapton's high melting temperature (725°F/400°C!) ensures high power handling and kick-butt reliability.
- Durable Butyl Rubber Surround won't fall apart under the stress of extreme temperatures, sunlight or time, for years of the great Polk sound.
- Pole Plate Heat Sink promotes better heat dissipation for superior power handling and reliability.
- Flat Spider for faster, longer excursion linear motion.
- Flexible Woven Leads sewn directly into Spider for greater reliability.
- Polarized Nickel Plated Terminals on PCB terminal board for simple, secure wire connections.
- Rock solid, acoustically inert Stamped Steel Basket finished in rustproof Gun Metal Gray.
- One year parts & labor warranty.

Highs from tweeters and mids from the little subs are incredible!!
Weaknesses:
Muffle just a little bit when really cranked up. When listening to it normal, sounds awsome. Only when I show them off they muffle.
Review:
All in all they sound great. Tweeter sends out perfect highs and the mini subs give awsome mids. If you get these grab a sub and a sweet deck and your system is complete.

Overall, the sound has a lot of detail, the highs are really good, pretty good bass too for it's size. Perfect fit, high sensitivity, smooth sound.
Weaknesses:
When listening to metal or hard rock, the guitars sound kind of light. Not bad, just kind of muffled a little. Maybe it's just my tastes. Still, I'm very satisfied with my db570's.
Review:
Just bought 2 pairs to replace my factory speakers in my 04 Ford F150 Heritage. They fit perfectly, and since I got them from Crutchfield they came with required wiring adaptors which made them super easy to install. Their high sensitivity gives you an instant boost in volume. They sound amazing for the price. They make my factory cd player sound so good, I won't have to replace it. Very satisfied.

fits, very good tweeter.
Weaknesses:
none
Review:
Put into my ford ranger and they are a huge improvement over the stockers. I'm using an amp to power them and they are great. I'm only using them in the high level frequency as I like my sub to take on all frequencys below 100K. The highs are distinct and clear

Great appearance, affordable, and sound better than I had hoped for.
Weaknesses:
Wish I had a place to put more in my truck!
Review:
I replaced the factory speakers in my Ford Explorer with two pair of db570's. WOW, they sound great!!! I had planned to get a sub box installed soon thinking I would desperately need it, but the bass response is more than I expected from 5'x7's. I am definitely a Polk believer now!

crystal clear with next to no distortion at ear bleeding levels
Weaknesses:
low bass extention
Review:
Excellent speakers with good, flat frequency response. i put some bass blockers on them so i can crank them way up. sub comes next week and will fill in the lows. i am currently powering them using the factory cd6 that came with my ford ranger. i bet these babies will really come to life when i switch over to a high powered head-unit. highly reccommended.

Bass is awesome, was gonna buy a sub, but with these there is no need to. Highs are clear as day as well.
Weaknesses:
Had to Dynamat the back of my car because of vibrations and also have to keep my rear seat belts buckled because otherwise they pass over the speaker openings on a 1990 Mustang hatchback and vibrate all to hell.
Review:
I am very impressed. Polk did an excellent job on these. Just installed these in my rear deck with DB 650's in the doors and JBL gto326's in the dash (woulda got Polks, but they don't make 3 1/2's). These speakers sound incredible. SOOOO much bass and they sound so good being driven only by my Pioneer 200w headunit. Would definately buy these again.

BASS OF THE 5X7 ARE VERRRRY TIGHT. NOT BOOMY . THESE SPEAKERS HIT HARD. VERY DEEP BASS FOR 5X7s.
Weaknesses:
WHEN MOUNTING THESE SPEAKERS DO NOT USE THE SCREWS IN THE BOX. THEY ARE TO WEAK FOR THESE SPEAKERS. I USED BOLTS AND NUTS, AND YOU MUST USE A SHEET OF DYNAMAT IN WITH YOUR INSTALATION BETWEEN YOUR DECK AND THE SPEAKER. IF NOT YOUR SPEAKER WILL VIBRATE YOUR TRUNK AND WILL SOUND LIKE A BLOWN SPEAKER. YOUR HIGHS AS WELL AS THE BASS WILL LOWS WILL GREATLY IMPROVE
Review:
I HAVE A 1987 VOLVO GLE. THE ORIGINAL SPEAKERS WERE ALL 5 1/4". EVERY ONE EVEN POLK SAYS 5X7" WILL NOT FIT MY TRUNK. 6X9 ARE TO BIG. THEY WILL OVER HANG THE TRUNK. I HAD TO DO SOME DRILLING TO INSTALL THEM AND THEY FIT PERFICT. I HAVE A CHEAP SONY TAPE DECK AND A WALKMAN WITH A TAPE INCERT ADAPTER TO PLAY MY CDs. THESE SPEAKERS HIT SO HARD I WAS SUPER IMPRESSED. AT FIRST I WAS GOING WITH ALPINE 5X7s. THERE RAITING SAYS THEY CAN GO TO 40hz BUT THERE TREBBELE SOUNDED OVERPOWERING. THE BALANCE OF THESE POLKS ARE PERFICT. i'M SURE A TOP GUN HEAD UNIT WILL MAKE THEM SOUND EVEN BETTER. BOTTOM LINE I'M IMPRESSED . I LOVE ITS BASS OUTPUT AS WELL AS ITS HIGHS . I HAVE A SET OF 5 1/4 IN MY FRONT DOORS TOO. DONT LET THE 53 hz LOWS FOOL YOU. IF YOU WANT ANYTHING LOWER GET A SUB. I DONT NEED ONE.

may need dynamat
Review:
crisp clean sound. i just put these in my 96 mustang along with a jl 12w3v2 sub and a pioneer headunit , im really impressed with how good the sound quality is it hits the highs and mids really well. i have the sub doing all the lows so everything works out really nice. however, at first they where rattling quite a bit but i fixed that using some cardboard.

EVERYTHING, if there was a perfect car speaker this could be them.
Weaknesses:
None as far as I'm concerned.
Review:
I've been a big fan of Polks for years in both home and car systems and these 570 have not been a disappointment. They have replaced the door speakers in my Dodge Caravan. My rear speakers are also Polks , older 6X9 model but still working great. The sound has come to life. Now I'm enjoying my driving even more. The 570 is crisp and clear. Dollar for dollar I don't think you'd find a better speaker even if you spent more on another brand.

Excellent value for the results. If this is the only change you make to your stock stereo, it will be a good one.
Weaknesses:
I do not see any at this point.
Review:
Circuit City installed the DB570'S into my 2003 Ford F-150. I replaced both stock pairs with the DB570'S.I am really satisfied with the level of improvement. I have great clarity compared to the stock units. I will propaly install a 4 channel amp with Polk Audio subs to complement the system.

I purchased 04 speakers from Crutchfield for my '02 Explorer(no subwoofer)and so far they're great. I have always used other brands of speakers, but decided to try these after reading the reviews, and the price was competitive.

Incredible Highs and crystal clear sound.
Weaknesses:
Not that much bass. you will probably need a subwoofer.
Review:
I bought a pair of these to go in my wife's Madza Tribute. They sound much better for the highs then the stock speakers and fit very nicely. However, I think that they actually have a little less bass then the stock speakers. Maybe if you used an amp it would be better. I am running these speakers with the stock head unit for now.

Best highs in their price range. High sensitivity rating lets them get a lot of sound for their power ratings.
Weaknesses:
I'd like to see some swivel tweeters on these. Other than that they're great!
Review:
I have four of these speakers in a 2001 Ford Focus powered by a 600 Watt 4 channel Sony AMP. These speakers have a high sensitivity rating so they will get pretty loud on stock power. But when you put an Amp to them they really shine! There is a good bass response for 5x7's but it's the mids and highs that really stand out. I recommend using some Dynamat because the lower bass notes will rattle your doors a little.

highs and mids awesome, need sub for bass.
Weaknesses:
none, polk audio rocks either way, even with the cheaper polk speakers.
Review:
Love them. Sound wonderful. Installed them on my 02 Sporttrac, dynamat good idea, but Ford has dampening mat in my truck because of the stock pioneer sound system, stock pioneer speaker are weak and blow easily.

Clear highs and mids. Great price.
Weaknesses:
Not that much bass, but for a 5x7 its ok. Looks cheaper than the other brand's speakers, but it doesn't matter.
Review:
Good speakers for the price. Needs an amp to really sound good. Great highs and mids, not too much bass. Need sub to get better bass. I am running a 4x60W(RMS) amp to them and they sound much better than the radio's stock 4x17W(RMS) amp. Great value for the money, just you need a good sub to get the full impact of the music.
