A Case of Great Bass
Skimp on nothing when it comes to big, musical Polk bass response. The DSWmicroPRO3000 packs the same high power, high current intelligent amplifier and 1200 continuous Watts as the DSWmicroPRO4000. It’s just a tad smaller in the driver and enclosure way. For mid-sized rooms, the DSWmicroPRO3000 fits without overwhelming your décor, and doles out deep, smooth, well-blended low end that will open new doors of excitement in your entertainment. For gaming, movies and music, the DSWmicroPRO3000 adds realism, depth and dynamic, distortion-free bass, even at extreme listening levels.
DSWmicroPRO 3000 Features:
1200 Watts of continuous power, 2400 Watts peak!
Digital intelligent amp technology requires less power to sound great, uses the power you give it more efficiently, and knows when to stand down (especially at low volumes or in “Standby” mode).
Smart sensing circuitry knows when to turn itself on and off.
Superior compression circuitry limits distortion at extreme volume levels.
Feed forward distortion suppression technology knows in advance how the woofer’s acoustic system will respond to the output signal from the amplifier, and stops signals that could cause distortion or damage before they even get to the driver, for the biggest possible bass response with the least distortion or risk of damage.
The Polk Room Optimizer™ (PRO) gives you four preset “room optimizers” to choose from, allowing you to program in the optimal bass and blending setting for your specific room.
The Automatic Polk Room Optimizer (AutoPRO) uses a tiny microphone (included) to take actual samples of the performance in your room and from your exact listening position, and adjust your subwoofer’s optimum performance accordingly.
Heavy duty MDF enclosures are designed and engineered for perfect volume, minutely tuned for distortion-free low frequencies, and internally braced and damped to eliminate internal standing waves and other performance-robbing resonances.
Furniture-grade piano gloss black finish matches today’s high tech TVs, furniture and speakers. (Matte finish on DSWmicroPRO1000.)
State-of-the-art Klippel distortion analysis clears the path for instantaneous dynamic response by optimizing the woofer’s motor structure, voice coil alignment and suspension for smooth, unimpeded movement over a broad spectrum of the lower frequencies, even at extreme listening levels.
Polk’s proprietary, patented Dynamic Balance® technology allows our engineers to design out distortion-causing driver and system resonances, so you only hear the good sounds.
More rigid under fire than any stamped steel, Polk’s cast aluminum baskets will never flex, even at extreme listening levels. Specially designed side vents encourage air circulation, keeping the voice coil cooler and more efficient.
The unique shape of the inverted dust cap provides extreme stiffness, while the lightweight cone material ensures fast response and effortless movement. Extra rigidity is achieved by attaching the drive mechanism via the ABS cone coupler.
Durable rubber surrounds allow incredible “travel,” and won’t break down even after relentless pounding.
A unique double stacked magnet structure maximizes the motor’s pulling power, enhancing its efficiency.
The dual spider design, on both the woofer and the bass radiator, ensure better linear control even at maximum volume.
Our exclusive downward-firing, quadrilateral bass radiator design has more radiating area in less space than the traditional circular design. With less space needed for ports or tubes, the DSWmicroPRO Series has smaller enclosure sizes that produce surprisingly bigger bass response.
Multiple power management options: You can turn the subwoofer on and off manually with your remote control, or let it turn itself on and off with its automatic signal sensing feature, or use the 12-volt trigger input connected to a 12-volt output of your receiver/preamp. (12-volt trigger not available on DSWmicroPRO1000 model.)
You never have to leave your seat while you adjust your subwoofer to its optimum performance level with the DSWmicroPRO remote controller.
Multiple professional connection options include professional 5-way binding posts and easily accessible LFE, line- and speaker-level inputs, and speaker level outputs, allow easy connection to virtually any system.
“Night Mode” setting temporarily lowers the sub’s intensity.
DSWmicroPRO Series subwoofers blend perfectly with systems composed of other Polk loudspeakers. Build the system of your dreams, and then add the perfectly blended, deep musical low end that takes it over the top!
The unique design of our floor-coupling subwoofer feet keeps your subwoofer stable and steady even at radical volume levels, for more efficient use of power. No more “escaped washing machine” syndrome.
The Consumer Electronics Association made it easier for you to more accurately compare the performance specs of Subwoofers by providing a “Loud & Low” specification. Polk was one of the first subwoofer manufacturers to comply with this specification, which helps separate the men from the boys when it comes to big bass. (We’re mostly on the men’s side of this.) Check out our CEA “Loud & Low” specifications on the specs pages of each model.
All Polk products are made using the best materials and the most advanced manufacturing techniques. They pass the industry’s most exhaustive quality tests, including drop testing, extreme signal response and UV & salt exposure testing. Polk loudspeakers are built to perform for a lifetime.

Review:
HOLY SHIT, Can i say that, sorry but when i was using the supplied microphone for room set up when i heard the bass tones being heard i was very impressed, very solid bass and clearity across the spectrum,i just want you to know i bought 2 of these,my neighbours have only heard the one so far, second has just arrived,i really feel bad for my apt neighbours in all of vancouver, just remember its 1801 making all the noise!

compact, clean sounding deep bass
Weaknesses:
cost, doesn't go low enough
Review:
Made a deal with 6ave I am OK with the results. The room optimization is great but had to adjust the gain just a tad to get similar output from my previous PSW450. While watching a movie it seemed like it would turn on and off when bass was needed and not needed. Using LFE as previous setup it doesn't seem to blend in smoothly with RT series 7.1.

Quality throughout and extremely tight bass.
Weaknesses:
Remote does not seem to work well from a distance. I'm going to try replacing the battery.
Review:
Best sub I've ever heard. The bass is clear and tight for all volume levels. Although this is a powered 1200 watt sub, you will need a strong A/V receiver to get the full capability and range of this state of the art work horse. I hooked up mine to a Pioneer Elite SC27. All I can say is that this sub rocks for music and video.
