9 out of 10 people found this review helpful.Strengths:
1. Compact, Clean, Flexible Design 2. Almost no thermal output from the amp, unlike Polk's PSW Series 3. Deep output Capability 4. Detachable Power Cord 5. Bright Blue L.E.D. CAN BE TURNED OFF. 6. Sits off the ground so spills or leaks are not a concern. (I lost a sub that way)
Weaknesses:
1. The remote is a cool idea, but I have sub controls built into my receiver. 2. Get rid of the buttons on the control panel and bring back the knobs for volume control. 3. I'll have to purchase some weather stripping or caulk because the Windows now rattle... allot. 4. Doesn't come in a cherry finish to complement my (2)-RTi-10's, (1)-CSi5, & (4)-RTi6's
Review:
Over the years I've graduated from one Sony SAW-M40 (1-12" 120W), to two Polk PSW-404's (1-10" 200W), and now to Polk TWO DSW-600's (1-12" 250W). Some might say that these two Behemoths of sound are a bit excessive for a 12 x 12 bedroom...they're right. While nearly the same overall dimensions as my previous subs, the sound output it Much Deeper and Much Louder than before. They aren't quite as tight or precise as the 404's were, but I'll live with it seeing as how I can now "feel" some sounds I can't hear!

Apparently it's pretty good.
Weaknesses:
If this sub is replacing the PSW505, why the reduction in continous power 300 to 250(watts), and what is with the price hike? Crude oil price?
Review:
My current speakers are the monitor series. I will be replacing them with RTiA7 for fronts and CSi5 for center. I am so disappointed that polk did not offer its customers the choice of a matching cosmetic finish with this sub for the RTi series especially for those of us who prefer the cherry finish.
Polk Response:
While the maximum continuous wattage has been reduced- however the efficiency of the components have been improved as well. In other words, we can get more sound out of the subwoofer with less wattage. Think of a vehicle- if one was reduced in weight, it no longer needs the same (or more) horsepower to perform at the same level.

Power Sound Quality Construction
Weaknesses:
Annoys the neighbors
Review:
Excellent subwoofer. Reproduces great lows for movies and music alike adding that strong foundation for the rest of your system to rely on. I am running 2 RTi 10's, CSi 5, and 2 RTi 6's and the DSW 600 pro meshes excellently with the other Polk speakers. Other subwoofers have been either too boomy sounding or overpowering the DSW 600 pro brings power and excellent sound quality together.

Everything you could want in a sub and then some. A tun ed low will notice from the beginning you connect it.
Weaknesses:
I haven't come across any weaknesses yet. Other than me walking around my media room trying to find all the sources of the rattling objects in the room.
Review:
I have had the DSW PRO 600 for about 3 weeks now. I have finally got it dialed in to the point, I don't have to mess with the volumn funtion. I adjust the volumn ever so often, usually just 1 up or down. I have it working with my Polks RTI12's, CS2, and FXI5's for surrounds. The receiver I am using is a Yamaha 3800. On the sub I have the Phase set to 0 as the receiver sets the phase. I love the room filling boom of the sub. During movies it is very real, during music its surreal. I don't hear booming muffled lows from its location, I feel the rumbles. Listening to music I clearly hear the separation of bass lows. What more can I say for a sub that is mid priced. It is surely worth the Buck! Thanks Polk

Clean deep bass, especially with action movies. Also the fact that it will never blow makes it well worth the money.
Weaknesses:
For the money it could be slightly louder, but I'm not knocking it by any means. It was a brilliant idea to put restrictions on it to prevent the sub from ever blowing.
Review:
Over all it is an excellent by when you compare the sound quality to other similar priced self powered home subs. I've owned the 600 for 6 months and have no complaints. The remote is also a pretty sweet addition.

Review:
Clean deep and good warm sound

Solid construction. Strong base.
Weaknesses:
Speaker too close to the carpet. Unable to adjust crossover with LFE connection.
Review:
There is no power rating on this subwoofer. The remote is great. There is no grill for cabnet mounting.
Polk Response:
The LFE connection always bypasses the internal crossover (Polk is not the only one who does this). If you need to use the internal crossover, connect the subwoofer using the L or R line input. We do provide a power rating, it can be found here. 250 watts continuous. The grille for cabinet mounting will be available soon.

Great for music and movies. Can really feel the explosions in movies and running bass lines in music.
Weaknesses:
When you have it setup for front firing the amp is not easily accessible.
Review:
Love it!!! I use it for movies and music and it makes everything sound rounder and complete.

Superb bass quality Makes you feel movies again
Weaknesses:
None
Review:
Simply a superb upgrade to my HT. It compliments my RTi8s and CSi40, and delivers performance I am very happy with. Setup is easy, the remote is a nice touch and it looks pretty darn good too. As for performance, all I will say is that I now really know what tight and deep bass is. All that my family could say was 'Whoa!' when the first explosion in Ironman punched through our floor.

Great price vs performance value. It is very versatile with front or downward firing and different position settings options. Convenient remote.
Weaknesses:
It is rated to 20Hz, 25Hz @-3dB. I would have liked to see the spec. down to 18Hz. More to brag if anything. Wished it was available with the cherry wood or gloss black to match finish to match the LSI series. (or add a remote to the PSW1000 and knock a couple of hundred off the price.)
Review:
This is a high quality great sounding subwoofer that beautifully compliments the sound of my LSI 25's and 15's in a large living room with a high ceiling. The surround sound really comes alive with the tremendous rumble that this sub can produce. The remote is very convenient and is fun to use when you have a digital sound meter.

Sounds great, especially with home theater. Capable of being either front-firing or down-firing. Remote control with room optimizing ability.
Weaknesses:
The remote control is not very effective when the subwoofer is in front firing position, but this is clearly stated in the paperwork and it was worth it . . . I never touch the remote now that I've got it set up anyway.
Review:
Excellent Subwoofer. This is the first subwoofer I have purchased of this quality. Once I get the subwoofer set up correctly and adjusted the sound, I've not touched it in weeks. Movies sound incredible in my large living room with wood floors. I set this sub up in a cabinet and placed it in the front firing position . . . hidden away is my preference. I'm extremely pleased that Polk thought to give this subwoofer the capability of being down firing our front firing. I'm blown away by the impressive bass.

Review:
Well where to begin. absolutely amazing sub for the money. With God as my witness on the very first day of powering up my pro 600 i actually had the local law enforcement to my home for a noise complaint. I was watching the Anatomy of a drum solo DVD by Neil Peart and when the police came they said that the call had said "someone was playing the drums to loud". Nuff said?? i also own the rti A-7's as my main and the csi A-4 for the center and the fxi-4's for my surrounds with a wonderful onkyo reciever.

Solid construction, stays firm even when the volume is at the highest level.Off course the bass is much firmer and melodious.
Weaknesses:
Nothing that I can think of, but yes would like to point out the volume indication which comes as blinks on the LED. Guess a better way to indicate the same would be appreciated, but nevertheless strongly recommend this woofer.
Review:
Great Woofer! Quite frankly I had been looking for and listening to other brands, but none came as close to delivering the low freq and performance at such a price.
