It's the biggest, baddest, most bass-happy Polk dX Subwoofer, optimized to deliver explosive bass performance in small sealed enclosures (less than 1 cubic foot). Deep, tight, musical bass -- just what you expect from Polk Audio!
dX Subwoofers feature:
- Polymer and graphite composite cones -- the stiffest cones in the autosound industry! Able to withstand the enormous pressures generated inside small enclosures without breakup and distortion.
- High mass cones allow awesome low frequency tuning in small enclosures.
- Thick ABS dustcaps prevent the distortion that can be caused by the build up of air pressure behind the cap.
- High durometer rubber surrounds provide a much tighter and more durable air seal behind the cone than foam, paper, or cloth surrounds; for deep, tight, quick bass. Also, rubber surrounds don't dry rot like the foam surrounds used by other manufacturers.
- Extra long, precision wrapped and vented coils for superior cooling and high power handling.
- Four layer, 2" voice coil handles the heat generated when your amp is really cranking.
- Vented pole piece lets air circulate over the voice coil to keep it cool and in control even when the bass is really thumping.
- 8 Ohm and 4 Ohm versions available: Choose the impedance that suits your personal system design, including exotic isobaric and push-pull types.

I have 4 pold dx 12' and they are EXTREMELY loud. I have a friend who has 2 15' kicker L7s and mine are louder than those.

i've had the luxury of getting the dx12-4 at an unheard of price,60.00 dollars if you need to know.cuircut city had this sub on display for at least 2 months.with constint pounding from curiuos semi,and pro audio this dx12-4 went on the market for sale.to my surprise not one person gave it a second look(everyones lose but mine).after scoffing it up like a man possesed i quickly installed it in a powerwedge from jlaudio,rearfaceing to fit a jlw6-3/12.it preformed like a god.and thank god i got it.running an alpine v12-mrv/t507 2 channel amp to it.it responed by asking me for more power.at this time it is still running at 3/4 full power and my hearing has been getting a little cloudy,so i have lowered the power consumsion to 1/2 power.

it takes deep bass notes very well and very smooth ive had my dx-12's for almost three years and pushing them too the max, just blew my first speaker. I love this speaker so much im buying another one.

god i have had absolutly no problems no matter what amp i put on them

I love this speaker cause it pounds and know one knows what it is its cool that people think its a piece of shit when they see it but when they hear it all perspectives have changed I personally thank polk audio for making such a wonderful speaker

Ive Punished these subs with all types of music ar all sorts or volumes and heygo hard stay sharp and continue to make the most B E AUTEIFUL deep bassm they dnt loojk impressive but when the volume dial is turned i dnt think there is ne thing more impressive
