Weather resistant for my jeep. Great sound and good mid bass!!!!
Weaknesses:
The adapter kit did'nt fit perfectly.Had to drill one hole in each. If you do not have a jeep then dont worry about that though!
Review:
I have an 09 Wrangler and the stock speaker are the worst..I bought a pair of Punch series P1653 and they were garbage even the installer at Best Buy could'nt believe how bad they sounded, so I took them out and put in the Polk DXi650 WOW what a difference. I was really surprised at how good they sounded. For the money you can't beat'em.....

I installed these in my friends 92 Grand Cherokee (with Infinity Gold system, wired them to the factory amplifier) since the factory Infinity speakers had fell apart (no kidding).. And these are definitely BEST bang for the buck.. They put my Infinity Reference speakers in my truck to shame, and I will definitely be using these in my next car I buy.

Weaknesses:
Not much bass,BUT,they are small speakers. Super happy!
Review:
I bought 2, 6 1/2 polkaudio speakers for my 02 silverado cuz the front door speakers were shot! Got them installed and they sounded great! So, after 5 mins of pondering, I went back to BestBuy and bought 2 4x6`s for the rear doors.Sounded even BETTER! Don`t 4get to buy the after market wire harness to hook up to ur factory wireing. They say the harness`s are diff. for the front n rear, but they are the same for the small rear doors as the front. Gonna get some 4 my wifes 2012 Equinox!!!

Sound Quality/Clarity, Full, Warm and Crisp
Weaknesses:
The adaptor ring didn't have correctly positioned holes for my vehicle, but my vehicle is REALLY old... With a little work I got it working fine.
Review:
Just replaced my '94 Toyota stock speakers, HA! I couldn't believe what I'd endured for so long. I never imagined my stock stereo could sound so good... My car is so old I was not going to drop a thousand on a system, these sure did the trick! For under $200 my car sounds incredible! Warm, full, and crisp sound! Thanks Polk, you guys continue to impress, especially in the home theater department where I choose to spend a majority of my speaker money!

Great full-range performance from a 6.5" speaker. You can expect a solid, tight bass response, with excellent midrange and clear, bright highs.
Weaknesses:
None
Review:
Hmm, I'm not at all sure why so many are 'disappointed' with the bass response of these. My setup: I replaced a pair of stock 6.5's in my front doors. At the time of installation, I also replaced my dead head unit with a new Sony CDX-565UP (17W x 4 RMS). I have a pair of old 6.5" Alpines in the rear deck. I am using no external amps and/or subwoofers. After install: At certain (low) frequencies, the amount of buzzing & rattling coming from my interior door panels resulting from these speakers was both unexpected and somewhat delightful. I even had to 'tone-down' my EQ settings on the low end for these little guys, so that all of my interior panels aren't vibrated to bits at low-medium volumes. *At one time, I did have a single 10" sealed sub/amp in one of my older rides and so, I know what 'true' deep bass sounds like. All I can say is if your bass isn't what you'd hoped for... look to your head unit/amp, or EQ, It may be high time for an upgrade! On the other hand, if what you want is a rock concert on wheels, you gotta pony up the dough for a more elaborate, powerful system.

cost is a +, sound is great for a 6.5 speaker
Weaknesses:
if you dont have a powerful head unit, you will need to put out the cash for an amp or these will not sound good
Review:
this is the second time i purchased these speakers(2 pairs for the four doors of my car) the first time was when i bought a jvc head unit. the jvc is only 20 watts rms per channel and these speaker were all distorted and i returned them. i tried a set of db's and some kickers but all of them sounded distorted. then i started looking online and found out that under powering a speaker can lead to distortion. my factory speakers were 20 watts and matched the jvc perfect and sounded just fine but i wanted better. finally had the extra cash to purchase an amp and purchased 2 sets of dxi 650's and the polk pa 660. the dxi's 650's werent supposed to fit my car but a while back i found out that they fit fine if your willing to sacrifice the factory speakers for use for an adapter ring, best buy had the dxi on sale but dont carry the dxi slim so i bought them and sacrificed the factory speakers. all i can say is the amp made all the difference. these speakers need some extra power. if your head unit is 50 watts rms you should be fine but if it is 20 watts rms like mine you will need an amp. for 38.00 a speaker i am more than impressed. even though many say they have no bass, i find they actually hit pretty tight with the right adjustment on the amp. they dont hit super lows but they punch pretty darn good. before i couldnt turn the volume up past 35 before the factory speakers distorted, ive got the amp set to where i can get the volume up to 42 out of 50 without distortion and the system is more than 2x louder than when it was at 35 with the factory speakers. for the price you cant go wrong when these are on sale somewhere but they need some juice to run correctly. this is only day one, i cant wait till they break in if the lots of stuff i read that state a break in period is needed is true
