Your Ride. Our Sound.
Our flagship DXi component system, the DXi6500, has been created to offer unparalleled sound quality with exceptional fit to meet virtually any application-on land or on water. This 6 1/2-inch component system includes mid-range drivers, tweeters and crossovers.
Klippel motor optimization uses laser measurement technology to ensure a smooth excursion path at either end of the volume spectrum for uniform performance at both low and high volumes.
Polk’s proprietary, patented Dynamic Balance® technology allows our engineers to design out distortion-causing driver and system resonances, so you only hear the good sounds.
Composite cones feature tremendous stiffness-to-mass ratio. Lower mass means faster transients and finer detail.
1-inch liquid-cooled silk/polymer composite dome tweeter for clear, detailed highs.
2nd-order Butterworth outboard crossover for component system sound-at a coaxial price.
Flush & surface swivel mount cups are supplied for easy install flexibility.
Vented crossover housing gives you a choice of hidden wire channels for easier, more professional looking installs.
Electronic tweeter protection circuit protects your tweeters from abuse for reliable high output sound.
Marine Certified ensures the DXi6500 is built tough to withstand the harshest environments on the water.
All Polk products are made using the best materials and the most advanced manufacturing techniques. They pass the industry’s most exhaustive quality tests, including drop testing, extreme signal response and UV & salt exposure testing. Polk loudspeakers are built to perform for a lifetime.

These speakers provided me with a crisp, clear sound and a very reasonable price!
None at all. Just make sure you have an amp powering them or they will just sound mediocre.
I recently purchased a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart edition. It did not come with the Rockford system, so I knew I HAD to upgrade. I decided to go with the DXi6500 component set. I had browsed local car audio shops and listened to component systems from JL, Kicker, Pioneer and Alpine. None of them had the great mid's and high's like the Polks. I installed them in my car over the weekend and I have them powered with an older MTX Thunder4122 amp. The sound is just amazing! I am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase and will soon be purchasing the DXi650's for the rear. Thank you for making an excellent car audio product at an extremely reasonable price!

Worth much more than what they are sold for. I would $500 dollars for these easily
Need an Amp to completly utilize these speakers.
This is one of the best set of speakers I have ever heard. Once they get broken in they sound amazing. You definetly need an amp to get the most out of these speakers

Super sound! Did I say SUPER? You bet. Honestly, these things make the Infiniti speakers cry for attention- no kidding.
Nothing that I see yet. I will use the Polks to replace the rear speakers in a month or so when I can grub up the cash.
I just replaced the front speakers in my Jeep Liberty with these. Best Buy screwed up the install the first go round, but made it all good the next day. These speakers kick butt. Great feeling through the mid range.

Great starting sub, pushes more than enough bass to be heard from over 100 ft and restart someones heart in the front seat.
Sounds ever so slightly strained trying to play very low notes (20 - 28 Hz) at competition level volume which isn't really a weakness if you plan on keeping your hearing.
This is an excellent sub all around. It packs a lot of punch for such a small package. The bass is as clear and defined as a ten inch sub but hits harder than most intermediate level 12 inch subs. Right now I am only running one of these subs and it is still enough to over power my MM components, even with their amp (depending on the song) and move the dice on my mirror.

Sound quality, power effficientcy, price! ... and makes me wet in my pants
not the most amazing lows... and nothing else other than the the price on the SR6500 i need to go along with my bass!
Great sub for the price, really responsive and handles power very efficiently. love the clean sound quality over any other sub in the price range

Haven't found one... :)
I love these speakers! For the money, you can't find better sounding mids. I have DXI-400s up front, DXI650 coaxials in the back with one 10"sub. All running off a pioneer deck except the sub. I have friends that spent twice the money on their system say mine sounds better and cleaner.

clean clean clean
if I find one I'll let u know
Love em love em love em. I did a kind of factory up grade if you will. New H.U. replaced the door speakers in my '08 Tundra Dbl Cb. I put the 6500's in the front and 5250's in the back. Note to Tundra guys the 6500's will fit all around. Any way back to these, they have been in now for about 2weeks and they are sounding better everyday as they break in. I've got them hooked to an RMS/Ch matching amp and I'm running it at about 50 watts (70%) I have all the headroom I could ever want. Buy these you won't be disappointed. Trust me I've got 20+ yrs in the music business and I wore hearing protection so I can still hear just fine. These speakers will put out every bit of their responses with no problem.

have a 2012 toyota tachoma. love the truck but damn the stereo was the cheapest ive ever had. im not a stereo geek by no means but i do love my music to be very clean, crisp and clear. i let the tech pick out what he though would be good for me. hooked me up with a pioneer receiver 6400BT, dxi6500 speakers and polk amp the pa330. this set up is way more power then ill need for sure. but damn it is awesome! i love it, Have "0" complaints. oh guess i do. he also tried to sell me a sub. told him i was 50 im good not having to feel the beat...lol

All around sounds excellent
tweeter will go bad in less than 6 months
I have a 1998 Toyota Camry. I replace all of the factory speakers with polk audio speakers, an WOW was it a major difference. The downside is that the tweeters seen go bad very fast. My 1st set lasted me about 6 months. My 2nd set lasted about 3 months.
