Review:
Great speakers here, excellent full range response, and I do mean FULL range. I have two of these in my ZX-2 (without any subs installed yet.....) and have had numerous people ask me what kind of subs I have. Most people can't believe that a pair of 5x7's can sound that good, or have low frequency response that is that strong still maintaining the crystal clear highs. POLK Rules!!!

Crisp, clear highs with solid bass for a speaker of this size. Very efficient at 91db enabling acceptable sound levels with o.e. head unit.
Weaknesses:
No apparent weaknesses..no buzzing, rattling or other signs of distortion.
Review:
Installed as replacement for o.e. door speakers in 1999 Mazda Miata. One of very few speakers with shallow enough depth to mount in thin Miata doors. Drop-in fitment within o.e. adaptor plates. Much improved sound quality and volume using o.e. head unit. Installed for about a year.

Clean! Clean! Clean! Excellent upgrade from the factory speaker and the silk dome tweeter just sparkles! This is my second set of Polk car speakers and things just seem to keep getting better!

Great sound! I have two pairs in my extended cab Ford Ranger. After hearing my factory speakers starting to crackle I bought these for their clean sound and solid bass for a speaker of this size. Well worth the upgrade.

not such a good desing, the screw location is too close to the bulty sourround, and it can easily be damage during installation.

I know this is an older line from Polk, and that is why I got such an amazing deal on them at Crutchfield. I put two sets in a 1998 Ford F150. They fit in with zero problems, and really amazed me with their sound! Using the factory Head-unit/amp was not a hold back. The bass and highs are great and really punch for a shallow 5x7. I never thought a speaker change alone could improve overall sound this much. Thanks Polk!
