Crystal clear highs, vibrant mids, overall very very nice sound
Weaknesses:
Better used with a HP filter
Review:
Very nicely balanced speakers, although they are definitely not meant to handle the heavy bass hits. I am pushing them with a Pioneer Premier 280 watt 4 channel with a 80 HZ HP Filter and they are absolutely brilliant and loud enough to rock the neighbors house even without subs installed yet. Without the filter they tend to get a little muddy during heavy bassing, but these aren't subs here folks. POLK Rules!!

Increased everything over stock speakers. I can hear quiet information clearly that I didn't even know was on the track!
Weaknesses:
They make you want to buy more.
Review:
After dealing with stock speakers for way too long, I decided to sink some money in a set of speakers. I wasn't trying to put together a car system with enough rumble to mix paint.. I just wanted a set of speakers that would boost my current system and bring out clarity in midrange and highs. Also have the flexibility of handling more power when I upgrade my 95 civic in case I decide to mix paint. Oh yeah, it's gotta be cheap too. The EX365 has it all in spades. My midrange and highs have improved drastically! Not only that, I can redirect the information with the lens for custom sound. Bass is much more full. I can hear so much of the music I was missing with stock speakers. I'm looking forward to replacing the fronts soon.

The quality of workmanship is evident in the speakers. The ability to control the tweeter output and the clear midrange output are the best features.
Weaknesses:
Bass response on the low end could be a bit sharper, but I really cannot complain about the sound quality too much, because the overall sound is wonderful.
Review:
I purchased 2 pairs of EX365's online to replace the worn-out factory clunkers in my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The speakers were easy to install and sounded awesome from the moment I tried them. The clarity stays even when I crank them, despite the fact that I am still using the stock receiver and amplifier that came with the car. I had never heard Polk Audio speakers before buying these and did so based solely on the reviews and Polk's reputation in home stereo speakers. I was not disappointed. Thanks, Polk.

Highs are very clear/accurate (you hear things you didn't previously hear), speakers are very powerfull and handle all the sounds with grace and power.....never seem to distort or buckle under challenging conditions
Weaknesses:
I was expecting a little bit more low-end, but I'm almost glad that these speakers focus more on the slightly low to the very high, because that leaves a nice open space for my powered sub to fill when I put it in.
Review:
Having been a big fan of Polk Audio for a long time because of the excellent bookshelf speakers my dad has had since the early 90's, I knew that Polk didn't put out any crap when I entered the market for new car speakers. I found that the Polk Audio EX365's fit my 93' Honda Accord coupe perfectly, and with my prior knowledge of Polk, along with the opinions of a few others, I was confident that these speakers were worth the money. I installed the speakers a few weeks ago and it's getting to the point where I sit in my car (sometimes in the parking lot before work, when I'm already late) and wait for every song to end, just like the guy in that Hyundai commercial, or whatever it was. Only I'm not softly singing along to folk songs, I'm rocking out to Tool and Pink Floyd ;) Anyway, these babies were well-worth the money and some of the frusterations of installation (ripping out the entire back of my car, only to realize that the speaker covers were detached from the trunk, not the rear window area, for instance). I am very glad I went with Polk and with the addition of a powered sub woofer to give me that extra bit of low end, I will be convinced that I have the best sounding speaker setup around.

smooth tweeter due to the soft dome and diffuser.
Weaknesses:
no crossover for midbass. very bad
Review:
these speaker lacks crossover, which makes them sounding bright. this is a very bad design, imo, a hard cone midbass w/o any crossover to damp out the resonance in it is just bad to the ears.

Works well with both stock and aftermarket decks, price
Weaknesses:
Discontinued and needs a low end filler for you bass heads
Review:
I received a pair of the Polk EX365 for free when I bought a cheap alpine deck form circuit city to put in my wife's car. Ater installing them, I was amazed at the powerufl midbass and clear highs of this speakers. I have installed all sorts of speakers from eclipse to MB Quartz, and the sound of these speakers powered by the mere deck wattage of the alpine was comparable to all of them. The separates from polk audio have always garnered high acclaim, I can honestly say there coaxials are also among the best of the bunch.
