Ultra-High Performance Surround for the Thrill Seeker
The F/XiA6 is at home in the best home theater systems and in very large spaces. With a 6 1/2-inch Dynamic Balance® driver and two 1-inch Dynamic Balance dome tweeters, movies and multi-channel music will fill the space with well-conceived sound effects coming from all directions. These surround speakers will literally immerse you in three-dimensional sound. Configurable as bipole or dipole for discrete and diffuse sound, they work equally well behind you or beside you. For the ultimate 7.1 home theater system, simply add a second pair.
The F/XiA6 Features:
The trapezoidal shaped cabinets aim the drivers and tweeters in opposing directions to produce a more realistically diffuse wavefront and wide, lifelike imaging of surround sound. Keyhole slots make mounting a snap.
With the flip of a switch, our dipole/bipole circuitry changes the soundfield from direct to indirect radiation patterns enabling you to place the surround speaker beside or behind you depending on your listening room setup.
Klippel motor optimization uses laser measurement technology to ensure a smooth excursion path at either end of the volume spectrum for uniform performance at both low and high volumes.
Polk’s proprietary, patented Dynamic Balance technology allows our engineers to design out distortion-causing driver and system resonances, so you only hear the good sounds.
Durable, computer-modeled, injection-molded butyl rubber surrounds suppress unwanted cone resonances for a lifetime of reliable sound.
The F/XiA Cascade Tapered Crossover eliminates the comb filtering and beaming, common to multi-driver speakers, which degrades the quality of the audio and collapses the soundstage.

These speakers are wonderful. I installed them in place of built-in speakers that I felt were not performing well. I mounted them to the wall and was not excited about it as they are not hidden like the ones they are replacing. Okay, so how did they sound? Well, funny you should ask.... I was not 100% sold that this was the solution until I turned on my movie. OH MY GOD!!! I am so happy I could cry. Invisible to the ear not the eye. These things tossed sound around the room like champs. Rockets flew over my head moving my hair with the wind jets. The sound is detailed and clean. I might know where they are but I sure dont focus on them when the movie comes on. In fact I no longer see them. Funny how that is.

System: DVD-Player Yamaha S-657, receiver Yamaha V-757, Front PolkAudio RTi10, Center PolkAudio CSi A6, Surround PolkAudio FXi A6, subwoofer PolkAudio PSW 505, interconnect cable (front, center, surround)- selfmaked (twisted pair - every wire of pair{central wire OFC 1.5mm2, around central 5 silver thin wire; silver and OFC joins in place connectors in every side of cable} ), interconnect cable subwoofer - selfmaked(OFC 3mm2 central wire, around metal defence as ground wire), speaker cable surround and center Profigold Bass Flex 2,5mm2, front Esoteric Audio "Premier" 8mm2. Ideal exclusive circle sound field, hear from any point of room high quality moving effects in space. I specially hear Jean Michel Jarre "Aero" DVD with 5.1 effects.Its best sound that I hear. Surround speakers disappear into sound, as though speakers not exist, exist only sound. Center and surround speakers I manually set to LARGE. In SMALL sound turned out badly. Alexey, Russia, Moscow

THESE NEW POLK FXi A6 SURROUNDS, REPLACE MY OLDER LS/FX SURROUNDS.THEY WERE GREAT,HOWEVER THERE SMALLER DRIVERS COULDN'T KEEP UP WITH MY FRONT RTi's WITH 6.1 MUSIC. THE NEW POLK FXi A6 LOOKS FANTASTIC,AND ONCE I MOUNTED THEM ON MY WALLS WITH TWEETERS AT STANDING EAR HEIGHT,I WAS GOOD TO GO! THE SUPPLIED MOUNTING TEMPLATE WORKED GREAT! IF USED AS DIPOLE'S THE CENTER LINE OF THE SPEAKER IS THE NULL ZONE,I FOUND THE SOUND WAS FULL,WARM & NATURAL. AFTER SOME BREAK IN,I USED SEVERAL DISC'S TO DEMO THERE CAPABILITY'S. THEN I DISCONNECTED MY POLK REAR CENTER,AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED IT WAS AS IF I DIDN'T EVEN NEED A REAR CENTER CHANNEL. OVER ALL THESE ARE KEEPERS,GREAT STYLE,SHAPE,SIMPLE INSTALLATION,AND THE MOST NATURAL SOUND FIELD I COULD ASK FOR. TRUST ME,YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR MISSING!AFTER ALL...THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED SURROUND SOUND...ISN'T IT?

all i can say is wow. i had the cheap cube speakers before these. lol...i can hear everything now!! i never knew what real surround sound was until i bought these. i have this entire lineup of speaker minus the front 2.(saving money for them) Movies literally came to life. i had to watch all my good surround movies again to smile again and again. months now after christmas, and i still act like it was the first day i got them!
