12 Inch, 8 Ohm Car Subwoofer
Push It To The Limit
There are things you want, and things you need. You want a date with Megan Fox. You need a subwoofer in your car. Understand, you don't always get what you want. But sometimes, you get what you need. (Hmmmmm.) And you get the bass you need from GNX Subwoofers.
This version is the 12" diameter, 8-Ohm model.
Like all the GNX Subs, it's totally optimized to work great in virtually any type of enclosure from Sealed to Vented to Band-Pass (if you can build it, GNX will rock it!)... At a price everyone can afford. Add some major bottom end to your ride, without hitting bottom in your wallet!
- GNX Subs are available in two sizes, 10 inch and 12 inch, and three flavors of impedance, including Dual Voice Coil models (which can be paralleled for 4-Ohm or 2-Ohm loads).
- Optimized for high performance in virtually any enclosure type: sealed, vented and bandpass.
- Super strong and durable Poly-Mica Cones for gut-pounding bass.
- Huge, injection molded ABS dust cap further stiffens the cone to supress unwanted resonance. You get incredible low distortion, high impact bass response.
- Extra beefy (beefy!) magnet structure and motor assembly for high output bass with tight control.
- Four-layer vented voice coil runs cool while your music stays hot.
- Vented pole piece for higher efficiency and ultra high power handling.
- Gold-plated three-way wire terminals for secure wire termination (fast-on, solder or screw terminal choices)
- Durable rubber surround for extended life performance.

A really large dust cap, huge muscle magnet, and a rubber surround.
The surround is not very big, low power handling(not a big problem), and a thin voice coil.
These Speakers have performed perfectly since the day I had them installed. They do have a low power handling, but with a good quality 300 watt amp they really hit harder than I thought they would! Everybody is amazed at how loud they are. I love them!

low power handling, sound great in any enclouse, hits all bass lines
These speakers are amazing. I ran two twelves in a sealed box and a 300 watt mono JBL amp and blew away cars at a local audio competion. I was 4 db's away from an explorer running 6 kicker comps and 2500 watt amp. My current best is 135.4 at the windshield without the back seats down or any holes in the rear deck.

well i have a 360watt rockford fosgate punch amp bridged to my 12in" polk audio gnx128 subs and it pounds like it was pounding around 1000 watts
my box is not completely sealed and everyone is saying that sealed boxes pound the best especially with these subs so i thind if i got a sealed box mabye my subs will hit louder
I think this is the best subwoofer i have ever boughten. I mean for 175 rms it pounds like shit. i love them and i think i might just have to buy 2 more 12in" subs.

Don't require much power to be insanely loud and they sound good in any setup.
None. I've had these subs for 3 years now and I bought them used. They still hit just as hard as the day that I got them.
Originally had 2 of these in a dual bandpass with a Lanzer 400W amp in my SUV. It was ridiculously loud. I drove around with the gain on the amp about 1/4 the way up and the sub output on my HU at 1/2 and it would still make my rear view impossible to use. Once I sold my SUV my girlfriend wanted the setup but my dual box wouldn't fit in the trunk of her car. So I split them up and got a single sealed box using the same amp bridged to 1 sub and it's just as loud. She has one of the best stereos I've heard with just one of these and some Kicker 2 ways in the doors and a new HU. Simply put. Amazing.
