Strengths:

Creates an inexpensive harmonic sounding system, very accurate and doesn't drown out the music.

Weaknesses:

Doesn't drown out the music... if that's what you are looking for.

Review:

I placed two of these (each in a .85 cu ft sealed box) and am amazed by the sound quality. I don't have them strongly amped up yet, but I think I might stick with my low amp since I am loving the sound they are putting out.

i have had theses speakers for a month and love them i have thme in an enclosed box and they hit harder than the 2 rock fosgate 15s i had b 4 if u buy u will love guaranteed

They pop a little here and there. But , that's what happens when you crank it up too loud.

Review:

I got two for 70$ and for that kind of money you wont get new subs any cheaper. I have them in my 87 s-10 blazer in a huge box powered by an eclipse amp. They hit pretty low, vibrate my blazer and anyone it, and the bass is tight and real clean. There are better subs of course but not anywhere near as low priced.

no matter how loud i crank it up the bass is tight and no distortion and ive never heard subs with so much sound quality.

i have 2 gxr's in my car with a bazooka 600w class D mono amp, the subs are in a mtx small sealed box. they beat so hard my sterio is heard from about 2 city blocks away! i could not find a better deal then $99.00 for 2 12" subs. i havent had my car on a db meter yet but i know for a fact it hitting somewhere around 140db's and in about a week im adding 2 more!!!!

I put two of these things in my Jeep. Combine the sound from these with a lifted Jeep and you've got a real head turner. I picked up a pair for $90...for the price they're some of the best.

Excelent sub for the mony. you wont get two 12 inch subs that bump like these for even close to 100 bucks. I only have one hooked up so far, at its only geting 100 watts, (I havent got a new amp yet) but it bumps as loud as my ears and my car can handle.

Very deep clear bass especially for the price.Sounds better than my old kickers and the jl's they had in the store.

I just got my gxr's hooked up today at a local car audio store adn all i can say is wow!I even have them in a pair of truck boxes with 1.08 internal space with a half pound of poly fill and i am simply amazed considering they havent went thru breakin period yet.The store who installed my jbl 300.1 was a store who carried only jl audio and memphis so i had to pay a bit to have it installed but even the guy who installed was impressed by the sound of the subs even in truck boxes.Very deep,rich,clear bass filled the truck.

i put 2 of these gxr's in my 03 cavalier and peeple hear me from long distances and most of em dont believe that i got them for only 100. They hit harder and are just as clear as my 2 audiobahn 15's. polk really knows how 2 price and make speakers thanks polk.

I have had pioner/rockford/and jvc but my polk grx hits harder than either of my preveious subs and i was able to buy to for the price of one of the others polk has it going on.

I rate it a four right now cause i just got them a couple of days ago and i havent been able to hook them up for full potential yet. Ive got 2 12' subs in a 2001 Montero Sport but I only have a sony explode 760watt amp and i dont think that the amps going to be enough.

I just got these things from circuit city for only $16!!!!! they were on sale sale because of the fact they stopped making them and i love them. they pound the shit out of my F150 pickup. i recomend them to anyone who is lookin for a quilty without paying a lot.

I have never found a cheaper sub that hit harder!!!(wait i take that back[lanzar maxx, but dont no if its louder, just sayin its close]. But i havent put the lanzars threw one 10th of the punishment that i put the polks threw and besides the SOUND QUALITY is HONESTLY prob close to 10 times better. If i recall i think the polks r rated at 365w max(and ive read ALOT of reveiws stating that they WISH THE GXR'S COULD HANDLE MORE POWER as their con... i have this 2 say(bc of the price) i tried to blow just 1 of these subs(just 2 do it)i eventualy swapped out 3 amps, the last being xplode 1200w max bridged @4ohms(older 1, which were better bak then, prob AT LEAST 600 TRUE WATTS MAX[CONSERVATIVLY] and it took me 6 MONTHS 2 BLOW IT!!! AND IT STILL SOUNDED CLEAN AS A WHISTLE)[i opened the trunk and it looked like the sub was tryin 2 JUMP OUT OF THE BOX, I'VE NEVER SEEN I SUB BOTTOM OUT FARTHER, EVER!!!{AND IVE BUILT AT LEAST 10 OF MY OWN SYSTEMS}. AND IT WASNT EVEN BLOWN!!! the wire from the voice coil 2 the speaker just broke off. So i sodered it bak on and sold it 2 my buddy 4 $20, and he hooked it up 2 his home stereo 4 a couple years and eventually the same wire fell off. SO I SAY THIS...(to anyone privlaged enough 2 still own 1 of these MASTERPEICES)PUMP AT LEAST 400w max EACH THREW THESE BABIES(BC THEY R SEVERLY UNDERRATED) AT TREAT YOUR EARS BC ALL THAT BEAUTIFUL SOUND JUST KEEPS GETTIN BETTER. and EVERY polk i've encountered(many) has been underrated(and performed the best overpowered).
