Review:
I installed 2 pair in my 2002 Mercury Mountaineer. I replaced the factory premium speakers due to muffled sound quality. The Polk speakers sound excellent. They perform outstanding with the factory sub-woofer and radio. I am very pleased with the speaker's performance.

Review:
I bought two pair of these speakers for a 1994 Ford Explorer with the factory "premium" sound (no sub). I replaced the original "premium" speakers very early on with some Bostwick CX-7555 coaxials but they were getting old and beginning to sound a little muddy in the bass. Since Bostwicks weren't available locally anymore and because I had Polk speakers on a computer and a home stereo, I already knew how good Polks were. The installation was a virtual drop-in. I wasn't expecting a dramatic improvement because they are (1) such a small speaker at 5x7 with a much smaller magnet than the Bostwicks and (2) such an inexpensive speaker. I was amazed at how good they sounded. I made an excellent decision to go with these speakers and, since I have a second identical Explorer, I might try the EX series on it.

Review:
I just had my factory speakers in my 99 ford ranger replaced with gxr 5x7s. I only had room to put the pair in the doors being that i have a single cab and my speaker box containing my 2 polk audio 10s take up all the room. Anyways i was surprised at the sound quality coming out of just the 2 5x7s. I have a panasonic deck pushing the 5x7s and they can get pretty loud.
