Outstanding Performance for the Best Home Theaters
Gonna hide your speakers away? Even when you’re hiding your speakers in the walls of your preferred listening room, where you still spin vinyl (because, really, Miles sounds better this way), you deserve performance that rivals the best freestanding loudspeakers. For the best two-channel listening, or multi-channel and home theater environments, no other in-wall loudspeaker can challenge the rectangular RTS105 for dynamic range and musical ability. Hosting an array of audiophile-level Polk Audio technologies, this loudspeaker adds the unbelievable bonus of virtually disappearing into your room’s décor.
LCi-RTS105 Features:
Exclusive integrated performance enclosure design ensures “perfect volume” performance in an enclosure that is the same size as the wall cut-out you’ll make, so installing them in existing walls is just as easy as naked stud installations in new-build situations.
The Stud-Lock mounting system (included with LCi-RTS105, LCi-RTS100, LCI-RTSf/x models) creates a rigid platform and snug fit that cuts performance-robbing resonances and structural vibrations to increase dynamic range, clarity and ultimate sound quality.
Interchangeable grilles: Choose paintable aluminum-mesh with 75% open space for unrestricted performance, or the acoustically transparent cloth grille to experience the full-on THX Ultra2 performance level.
Paintable grilles let you build them in, and then forget all about them; LCi-RTS Series practically disappear into any room.
Enhanced, reengineered ring radiator tweeters with specially designed faceplate geometry extend top-end response for incredible details and excellent imaging even in off-axis listening positions.
Our aerated polypropylene cone is the ideal balance of lightweight stiffness (for more efficient action with less distortion-causing flex) and superior damping properties, for spectacular midrange clarity and punchy bass. Dual driver designs (in all LCi-RTS models except the LCi-RTSF/X) more efficiently deliver superb mid-range clarity and punchy bass.
Polk Audio’s proprietary, patented Dynamic Balance® technology allows our engineers to design out distortion-causing driver and system resonances, so you only hear the good sounds.
Enclosure stiffening technology reduces distortion and eliminates wasted energy for louder, cleaner performance than any other in-wall speakers.
Specially engineered crossover networks feature more sophisticated notch filters (instead of mere resistors).
Easily accessible custom audio controls allow you to tweak your sound for optimum performance in any installation: Use the reflective room (tweeter) compensation switch to digitally compensate for harsh reflective surfaces, and the wall distance setting toggle to compensate for proximity to corners or adjacent walls.
Solid, resonance-free construction features, including molded composite baskets and a secure pole plate (which physically joins the speaker’s motor structure to the enclosure) ensure zero-vibration performance. With no wasted energy, LCi-RTS Series speakers deliver a much more efficient performance, even at tremendous volume levels.
LCi-RTS Series speakers are timbre-matched to Polk Audio LSi speakers to insure utterly seamless blending from speaker to speaker in systems that combine traditional and built-in speakers.
All Polk Audio products are made using the best materials and the most advanced manufacturing techniques. They pass the industry’s most exhaustive quality tests, including drop testing, extreme signal response and UV & salt exposure testing. Polk Audio loudspeakers are built to perform for a lifetime.

Ring Radiator tweeter. Drivers with the polypropylene cones. THX Ultra2 certified speakers.
Weaknesses:
Yet to discover.
Review:
I like the Ring Radiator tweeter for its high frequency extension, clarity and detail and the drivers with the polypropylene cones. The best thing I like about these speakers that it offers "Wall Distance" switch which lowers output in the low-midrange/upper bass area to correct the heavy and thick voices. I was very particular about THX Ultra2 certified speakers to connect with my THX Ultra2 certified receiver. It jells very well with my other Polk THX Ultra2 in-wall speakers.

Superb hi's and very good cross over. The sub dispite so discouraging reviews is awsome. Very good imaging and dinamics.
Weaknesses:
PRICEY!!! Could have easly found a tower system that sounds really good for less money but if inwall is what you want i dont think you can do better for less than 10,000.
Review:
I have a full polk inwall system powered by an Onkyo Txsr806b. RTS105s in the front and RTSFXs in the rear with a PSW1000(cherry) lfe. I have had this system for two months and i find it to be a very good blend of speakers and sub. The hi frequesy detail is supurb. I spent alot of time trying to find an audiophiles in-wall system and after being told several times that you cant get great sound out of inwalls at all the high end retailers, i did. Very happy and will enjoy for many years to come.

Plays loud and clean with reasonable wattage. Smooth treble and strong midbass. flush-mount look will blend into any room.
Weaknesses:
Larger than most in-wall models. At $2400 per pair, they are a substantial investment.
Review:
I just heard the new RTS105 in-walls at Tweeter in Cary, NC. They were set up in a dedicated theater with a Sony VPL-VW60 Blu-Ray player and Yamaha receiver. The sound was amazing. I would put these up against just about any in wall under two thousand dollars each. Unlike most in-walls, these speakers played loud and clean with plenty of midbass on rock (AC/DC & Queen) and the Blu-ray "Night at the Museum". Close your eyes and you'd think that a pair of large floor standing speakers was enveloping you.

This basically is a THX certified version of LSI9 speaker. Superior clarity, No distortion, Lifelike speech vocals etc. choice of cloth or aluminum paintable cover solid solid solid speaker
Weaknesses:
Can't get loud deep bass, but the bass coming from this is a lot more than I originally expected. Wish they were cheaper
Review:
WOW what can I say I am simply amazed by the accuracy, loudness, distortion free THX certified sound these speakers produce. I also have LSI25 and feel like they are more value for the money than LCi-RTS105 but if you want great performance in in-wall speakers there is nothing that can beat these. I have always thought that in-wall speakers are just a compromise but when I heard them at Tweeter I was simply amazed. It also helps to have a living room free of floorstanding speakers when you have three kids under 4 years old playing around. Oh and if anyone is considering Bose over Polk (bose shouldn't even be in the same sentence) then there is no hope for him.
