The Ultimate Surround Ambience
Timbre-matched to the LSi Series, for the most realistic, most seamless, surround sound performance possible.
Adjustable Surround Sound Design
Dual Ring Radiator Tweeters and two Aerated Polypropylene Drivers in a specially designed trapezoidal cabinet allow you to choose (via a convenient toggle switch) between Bipole and Dipole surround shaping. Use this speaker on the rear sides of your listening area (Bipole), or directly behind you (Dipole). Either way, you will be wrapped in a spectacularly believable ambient surround sound environment. Effects will embrace you, and you'll be in the center of the action.
Dual Ring Radiator Tweeters
The ultra-high performance Ring Radiator Tweeter is found on ultra-high end, luxury-priced speakers. We've brought the Ring Radiator down to earth for your enjoyment. In the LSi Series, you will experience its precise accuracy, meticulous detail and extended, low distortion frequency response at a fraction of the price.
Dynamic Balance Aerated Polypropylene Drivers
Why does the LSi Series sound so warm and natural? It's what they're made of that matters. Aerated Polypropylene is stiff on the outside, for excellent transient response, but "light & chewy" on the inside, providing light mass with importrant damping qualities. Using our patented, laser-based Dynamic Balance process, we've eliminated areas of resonance on the cone in the planning stages, so bad sounds never make it to the final product. As a result, the LSi Series sounds like a Polk Audio loudspeaker should: realistic, transparent, wide and embracing, with no distortion even at lifelike volume levels.
Cast Aluminum Driver Baskets
Rigid Cast Aluminum Driver Baskets resist flexing and "ringing" for ultra-tight bass and coloration-free midrange.
Non-Resonant Braced Black Gloss Piano-Finish Enclosure
Superior workmanship is plainly evident in the furniture-grade piano finish of each LSi Series speaker. It's a loudspeaker that lives up to its reputation for classy presentation, and blends well with traditional or modern decor. Inside, the enlosure is extensively braced with heavy duty MDF and damped with professional damping material. No energy is lost in unwanted cabinet resonances, for smooth, untarnished reproduction of even the most extreme audio. Next time you meet them, give them The Knuckle Test (knock, knock!) and feel the solid, non-resonant build quality.
Dual PowerPort Bass Vents with Wall Mounts
Rear-firing, with heavy duty keyhole wall mount slots built in. Our patented PowerPort Bass Venting System smooths the big moving air turbulence at the mouth of the speaker's bass port, effectively enhancing deep, musical bass response and aiding over-all full-range blending between frequencies. Bass response in the LSi Series is efficient, precise, natural, unimpeded by distortion. This is lifelike bass you can feel all over.
Premium Crossovers
High performance materials minimize the need for electronic manipulation of audio reproduction (that is, the LSi Series sounds great from the start), but we've designed a high performance crossover system to boost performance just that much more. Premium components, like Mylar Bypass Capacitors, extend and flatten responses, especially in the higher, detail-oriented frequencies. You will discover musical details you've never heard before, even in your favorite high performance digital audio.
Low Diffraction Grille Design
The unique open architecture design of the acoustically inert LSi Series speaker grille never gets in the way of the sound.
Gold-Plated 5-Way Binding Post Connectors
Gold-plated 5-way professional binding post connectors give you maximum signal transfer and the most secure professional connections.
Perfectly Matched to LCi In-Wall/In-Ceiling Speakers
Designed with the same high performance components, including the Ring Radiator Tweeter and Aerated Polypropylene Drivers, the LCi Series of built-in loudspeakers can be used to complete or extend a traditional system of LSi Series loudspeakers. Add built-in surrounds to a home theater system, or add second-zone speakers to a music system. LCi Series built-in loudspeakers deliver the same incredibly warm and natural LSi sound in a speaker series that can virtually disappear into your decor.
Famous Polk Dependability & Durability
Like all of our products, the LSi Series uses only the best materials coupled with the most advanced manufacturing techniques on the planet. All Polk products must pass a battery of the most physically strenuous and exhaustive performance tests in the industry, including drop testing and extreme signal response testing. Polk Audio loudspeakers are proudly built to perform for a lifetime.

Review:
These are, by far, the best sounding surround speakers I have ever owned or used. Extremely clean and dynamic sounding. I am very pleased that I have purchased them.

Well built and excellent sound.
Weaknesses:
Can't wall mount and use the bananna plugs.
Review:
I didn't think I could improve my rear soundstage as much as I did when I upgraded to a seperate amplifier. But boy was I wrong, rear speakers are getting used more and more in today's movies, and the LSiFX sure helps bring it alive. And you'd be surprised at how much bass these little speakers can put out. Although with a good sub it's not really needed.

Fantastic mid and hi range frequencies with extremely accurate instrumental definition. The firing directions of the cabinet provides excellent surround from all locations.

None
Review:
I recently extended my stereo consisting of a pair of the fantastic Polk LS90 main speakers to a 7.1 system. It seemed a natural choice to select the LS/FX as surround speakers, and the LSi Centre speaker. I mounted the LS/FX speakers to the walls 5ft from the ground and 4ft from the ceiling. After making the correct settings with the processor, measuring the distance to each speaker I was faced with the tough question "What am I going to put on to test these babies" (Let me reassure you, these are no babies) The first discs I choose were DTS music CD's so I could focus on the audio quality. I played Sting's 'Brand New Day' DTS CD and Steve Miller's 'Fly Like an Eagle' DTS CD. Wow! I believe these are the best surround speakers. Wozza, UK.

Review:
I was a bit skeptical when it was time to upgrade my HT system, which has to include a consideration for audio listening as well. I am set with the LSi series, based on reviews and quality of my prior experience of Polk speakers ownership. However, one of the options that I was considering include the LSi9 for the surround speakers. After careful thoughts, I decided to use LSiFX for the surrounds, LSi15 for the front, and LSiC for the center. After several weeks of listening to this setup, I have to say that I am very impressed with the characteristics of the LSiFX. It is a very capable speakers in reproducing material accurately.

Awesome sound.
Weaknesses:
Getting the #10 screws to the correct depth make for a challenge with 25lb speakers.
Review:
I bought these from Polk Direct to supplement my Lsi15 and LsiC up front, and the Lsi9 pair I had the rear. I am soooo glad I did. The LSi9 moved to the rear surround position and the LsiF/X got hung on the wall a touch above the 2ft minimum recommended by Polk. Multi-channel music and movies are amazing. I originally had the the FX at the same level as all the other speakers - they sound better up high (for me, anyway). Use a power source with some current capacity. My Onkyo 805 has been up to the task (with a large subwoofer taking 80Hz on down). My speakers arrived from Polk Direct looking absolutely brand new and unblemished.

Aesthetically pleasing presentation in the black piano finish. Unmatched audio quality for which one would expect to pay significantly more.

Review:
My "HT" application is supported in a 7.1 configuration using the LSi Series. I've implemented the LSi25/fronts, the LSiC/Center and two pairs of LSiFX/SB-SS. Movies, and most CD's are of course incredible. However, an unexpected surprise was realized when viewing sporting events (NFL in particular) broadcast in HD. I'm hearing very detailed conversations via my LSi/FX's from players on the field (unfiltered I might add) that without question makes you feel as if you're in the stadium. Totally awesome audio reproductions and I would highly recommend without reservation for serious listeners to make the investment, and experience the "POLK's".

Awesome sound and look. Easy mounting
Weaknesses:
Can't handle the juice it takes to push the 25's.
Review:
They Sound great and look great and mount easy. Its just the first time I cranked up my all LSI system with an Outlaw 7500 Amp they fried. This is at a -5 on a Denon 3806 mind you, not pushing it to ear splitting levels. The Lsi 25's and LsiC loved it, These baby's couldn't hang. They didn't pop just got very fuzzy.

Clear play back on DVDs. They can take whatever you can give them and are hungry for more.
Weaknesses:
Wish that they could be reproduce that sound in car audio/video systems.
Review:
I have a home theater system that includes LSiFX surround,LSiC center,PSW650 Sub, and MK125s main the LSiFX speakers are possible the best surround speakers that I have heard in any systems I've listened to in my life. Big statement but these are my ears and that why I believe that. When I first hooked up the system I heard sounds that I did'nt hear before be it crickets or the rustling of leaves in the background. POLK you did right by these speakers.

after not being able to get the fxi50's, I chose the 30's, and was not getting enough sound. I took them back and found that I could afford the lsifx's and they sound excellent with the rti150's, and the csi40. I could not be more pleased with the room filling sound, and can't wait to try a dts music cd.

These are by far the best surround speakers on the market. I challenge anyone who can prove that claim wrong. POLK customer service, if needed is THE BEST!! Keep up the good work people. Matt Polk, your invited over to my house for a steak, lobster and a glass of fine wine. Oh yea and a movie in the home theater with your speakers as the main attraction. I own the complete LSI series and am very pleased. Bring Ken Swauger with you. See ya all soon.

Looks, mounting, versatility and of course, the sound.
Weaknesses:
Current DVDs or CDs, do not yet use the rear channels enough in their productions
Review:
I have had my surround speakers for one year this month. They produce all the sounds necessary to be a great surround speaker or for front speakers if one were to use them for that purpose. I would recommend them to anyone who would want to reproduce the sounds that the movie maker or music studio put in their product.

These speakers really have the ability to fill up a room with crystal clear sound
Weaknesses:
A little chunky, but I will give that up for the really great sound.
Review:
I have really tall ceilings. I mounted them on the wall eleven feet in the air and they sound like they are pointing at me anywhere in the room. They sound tight and crisp even at high volume. I think these are my favorite speakers I own.
