Our Flagship
The ultimate statement of Polk's mission, the LSiM707 is like no other loudspeaker in its price range. Featuring exclusive state-of-the-art technologies, proprietary patents, and designed in-house from the ground up, this is pure high performance audio of a completely different stripe. Experience realistic, transparent midrange reproduction with a 3 1/4-inch midrange driver of lightweight super cell aerated polypropylene. Pinpoint detail is revealed by a 1-inch ring radiator tweeter, a feature usually found on speakers costing much more. The LSiM707 effortlessly achieves the deepest bass with dual 6x9-inch Cassini oval subwoofer radiators and Polk’s patented PowerPort® bass venting, which eliminates performance-robbing turbulence at the mouth of the bass port. Engineered into a sculpted, state-of-the-art enclosure and finished like a beautiful piece of furniture, there is simply nothing like the LSiM707.
LSiM707 Features:
Polk’s exclusive dynamic sonic engine design optimizes the midrange driver and the ring radiator tweeter in separate interior chambers for improved transient response, superior imaging and greater horizontal off-axis response.
Enhanced, reengineered ring radiator tweeters extend top-end response for incredible details and realistic imaging.
Newly designed Cassini oval subwoofer drivers, with more surface area than round drivers, dramatically improve low-frequency response for deep, well-blended bass.
Our innovative overhung voice coil design augments the excursion length for subwoofer drivers, increasing their power-handling capabilities and enhancing bass response.
Extended Linear Motion voice coil design allows lots of movement in a limited space, eliminating impedance and extending mid- and high-frequency response.
Lightweight, rigid cast aluminum baskets are designed for precision motor alignment with unobstructed linear movement and ample venting.
Klippel motor optimization uses laser measurement technology to ensure a smooth excursion path at either end of the volume spectrum for uniform performance at both low and high volumes.
Polk’s proprietary, patented Dynamic Balance® technology allows our engineers to design out distortion-causing driver and system resonances, so you only hear the good sounds.
Our super cell aerated polypropylene cone is the ideal balance of lightweight stiffness (for more efficient action with less distortion-causing flex) and superior damping properties.
Durable, computer-modeled, injection-molded butyl rubber surrounds suppress unwanted cone resonances for a lifetime of reliable sound.
Exclusive, patented Orth crossovers increase lower-order power handling and smooth the impedance curve, for more efficiency and better high frequency response.
High quality, heavy duty LSiM enclosure construction features 1.0" MDF on the sides, 3/4" MDF for the back and bottom and 1 1/4-inch baffles, with substantial internal bracing and separate interior cabinetry for each driver. These exceptionally robust materials efficiently eliminate cabinet resonances and standing waves for less distortion and more dynamic transparency.
Beautiful furniture-grade hardwood veneer cabinet finishes, with sleek trim accents and no visible screws.
Super-thin zero-diffraction grilles lock in place magnetically, and never obscure your sound.
PowerPort bass venting is Polk’s patented design for smoothly transitioning the air flow from the port into your listening area, eliminating turbulence and distortion, for bigger, more efficient, deep bass impact.
All Polk loudspeakers are timbre-matched within their series, designed with the same components throughout, to achieve seamless speaker-to-speaker blending effects in multi-channel systems.
Dual gold-plated, professional-style 5-way binding posts, for the most secure connection options.
Dual binding posts allow bi-amp or bi-wire connections, for the ultimate in customized high performance audio.
Innovative no-tip hex-head floor spikes make speaker-leveling easy on any flooring.
All Polk products are made using the best materials and the most advanced manufacturing techniques. They pass the industry’s most exhaustive quality tests, including drop testing, extreme signal response and UV & salt exposure testing. Polk loudspeakers are built to perform for a lifetime.

Weaknesses:
so far not at all...
Review:
What an extraordinary Revolution !!!! When i listened to the LSiM 703, i was totally impressed by the depth of the small bass driver. But after listening now to the Master of Sound - the 707 - yeah men that is the next sound revolution from transparency to the easiness of the dynamic. Now i can understand why it has taken polk so long to work on the new LSiM series. If you ever heard the Lsi15s don't try to think they are a bit better. It is a whole new world. The bass is faster and much more powerful, the mid are crystal clear and the top freq. are perfectly trimmed - not to much or sharp, nor to less at all. You get more then you pay for ! Definitely the highlight of the year.

Very nice cabinets, sound presentation excellent with lots of detail and very good tonality.
Weaknesses:
Not the most efficient speakers in the world. So, single ended tube amps are pretty much out. I think they need at least 100 W solid-state/tube amp to really do them justice
Review:
The speakers are very good. They exhibit very high definition and are very neutral. I'm an older audio file and I do miss the good old days of romantic sounding speakers. The LS iM 707 are the most coherent full range speaker. I've heard in a long time. What is amazing is they have five drivers in a four-way configuration and they all seamlessly work together. There is no apparent transition from one driver to the other, as well as their tonality seems to be very well matched to each other. I'm using solid-state any home theater application and I'm amazed at how realistic the speakers play. Every day sounds are reproduced with real accuracy. It really enhances a audio track on the DVD you get the real feeling of being in the scene. As for music they are brutally honest, I would love to hear them with a large tube amplifier and a well set up audio room. I think they would be as would be limited by the associated equipment and the source as much as anything else. Don't expect to get great results with some 30 pound switching power supply receiver or amp. There is good as the signal you put in. A really great value at their cost. Most of the audio file speakers out there that are as good as these cost 2-3 times as much. Save your money on the speakers and put it into your equipment to drive them ill get a better return on your investment.

"A few snooty local audiophile associates experienced the LSiM707s (albeit with the Polk logos hidden from view) in my full ARC system. When asked to guess the cost of the mystery component, they estimated between $10-$20k, a conclusion spurred on by my spinning of well-known audiophile favorites...No matter with what they’re mated, they put forward such substantial resolution that it will feel as if you acquire a whole new system any time you upgrade your amplification and/or source components."

"That's right, Polk Audio. If we bestowed an 'extra achievement' award, the LSiM707s would get it. These speakers push all the right
buttons for audiophiles and music lovers. Natural
timbre, wide-range frequency response, and
big dynamics add up to a winning and costconscious
combination. Those that check their
audio snobbery at the door will be rewarded."

Sound & Vision

"On technically and musically excellent recordings such as a recent HDtracks 96/24 download of a Ravel string quartet by the Eroica Quartet, the Polk towers produced focused, beautifully detailed, timbrally honest music. And I could easily discern the players’ U-shaped seating via a stereo image that conveyed a nice lateral precision along with a comfortable illusion of stage depth."
"All three [LSi M] Polk models are of comparatively high sensitivity (at least as far as their maker’s specs go), and I could in fact play movie sound many decibels beyond “reference level” with no hint of stress — way, way louder than any sane home theaterphile would ever demand."

Positive Feedback

"I sunk down into my listening chair and my jaw dropped. I could not believe the imaging, timbre, and rhythm coming from such a speaker. Man—it was really nice to have a very soft, warm inviting sounding system with such authoritative bass!"
"The crossovers are really magical here—called an Orth design where it maintains a low order (best sounding in my opinion) but provides the efficiency of a higher order slope. The cohesion of sound between all of the drivers remained seamless, a really great sounding effort."

"The most interesting speakers sound great, but they also have a great story to tell. Polk’s new LSiMs speak volumes...Consider them highly recommended."
