Polk sound quality. Great sound for small package.
Remote. The remote only controls sound volume or on/off; does not change tracks or between podcasts, music, etc.
I have had Polk speakers for years and was waiting for quality speakers for my iPod and Polk finally delivered the miDock10. The remote is limited in its usefulness; would have been more convenient to include the track changing feature. What happens when the podcast ends is that I have to get up and manually adjust the iPod in order to continue listening . . . it was disappointing to discover that the remote didn't have that feature. However, I bought the unit for the sound quality and am very happy with listening to those Polk speakers!

Sound Quality, Mobility in mind, Cool retro looks says it means buisness everywhere it goes.
errmmmm....it won't fly. (had to put something hehe)
Ok lets start with what matters most: Sound. It's Polk. Sounds very good. Precise combination of clear highs and bass that u actually feel. At low volume it sounds excellent, very musical. and it'll rock the house at higher volumes also The remote control is pretty slim. And despite the previous review, this control does change the tracks on the ipod. The Handles on the side are a good idea. Makes mobility pretty comfortable. The midock is what it is. i bought it so i can have good quality music to back me up anywhere i go, even if i'm in the beach where there's no electricity...and thats exactly what its doing, and then some.

I leave my iPod video in the protective docking bay and charge / sync with iTunes through USB cable. Very handy and time saving.
I don't normally rate products but this one deserves the attention! The sound quality / the remote / the protective docking bay / the USB sync capability and the charging capability are all excellent! Also, I had another competitors model (won't mention names)that used 8 D-cell batteries every 1-2 weeks. The miDock uses 8 C-cell batteries and I have not had to replace them for over 4 weeks and still going. Outstanding. Finally an iPod portable speaker system that offers the Polk high quality sound!

good bass and over all sound and a good price too
it's not white so it doesn't match my ipod(lol)
I received mine as a gift for fathers day (I picked it out of coarse)I love it it has pretty good bass for such a small package and the batteries lasted me over a month rockin out at high volume levels

Good sound quality and secure adapters for variety of iPods. Looks good, too!
Separate bass & treble controls would be nice.
Very pleased with the sound. Projects highs and lows quite well. Using it primarily for music in our yard. Sturdy, protective and simple. Nicely compliments the iPod. Great to see that Polk still has its headquarters in "Bawlmer, hon."

Sturdy, great idea, portable, ac/cd.
Will not fit the new 3rd generation ipod nano though the instructions on this site and the box say it fits "any ipod."
Normally I would give this speaker system a hihger review. However, I am very disapointed that it does not fit the 3rd generation ipod nano. I bought this as a gift for my nephew and I'm so glad I checked it out first. I have to return it for another competitor's product and may not have time to do it before Christmas.
The 3rd Generation iPod Nano DOES work with the miDock10. Just put the adaptor "plate" in the forward most position.

Outstanding sounds for the size.
I have a NANO 3,had a little trouble at first when installing it into the adapter but figured it out,the slider mounting at bottom of dock moves forward and back and worked perfectly.
I purchaced this product from Radio shack last Saturday april 12th. It was a toss up between this product and another product, but what i was looking for was something portable and has good sound tones and range, well this one delivered because it was portable.

Finally a portable player that delivers a home speaker system sound. I am impressed with the full sound and bass quality.
It vibrates a little at high volume. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It's not too bad, though. I mean, you have to have it really loud to notice.
I just bought this model and I already love it. I've been searching for a portable player that has some real quality bass sound. And this player delivers. Finally! I didn't think I'd ever find one that would have a deep full found, but alas! There is the Polk Audio miDock10. I am very pleased!

Durability/Portability and sound
Getting the iPod in or out is very clumsy
I have had mine for a year now and use it all the time. Inside the house and out by the pool. It is very durable and the heavy duty handles on the side make it quite portable. The sound is very good, full and plenty of bass for a portable. Simple design and easy to operate. Biggest drawback is getting the iPod in and out of the box. I use a 30 gig video iPod and it isn't easy lining it up to put into the machine or pulling it out. That's the only drawback.

Have had this for a few months. Sounds AWESOME! Do have to agree that getting the iPod in and out is a little tricky, but not too bad. BIG PROBLEM --- THIS WILL NOT CHARGE THE NEW IPODS (RELEASED SEPT 2008)! The new iPods will play, but there is no way to keep them charged with this device. I use it in my workout room, but have to take the ipod out to charge it elsewhere. BIG NO-NO since Apple warned people in 2005 how iPods would be charged in the future and warned manufacturers to make their devices forward compatible. Polk apparently didn't (admittedly, I have 4 other devices in the house that won't charge the new iPods either).
