The miDock Studio combines high-quality sound and convenience in an elegant package. Studio's black/white two-tone color scheme makes all color iPods look their best while Polk's legendary acoustic design makes it stand out as the best performer in its class. Simply plug in your iPod and enjoy your favorite tunes anywhere you go. The miDock Studio operates while plugged in to AC or with batteries (eight C Cells, not included), and charges your iPod while it is docked ( special note- will will play but NOT charge 4th Gen Nano and 2nd Gen Touch). An Apple iPod port allows you to plug it directly into your computer with your iPod to USB cable and upload songs without having to undock your iPod. MiDock Studio's remote control allows you to change tracks and control volume from across the room.

NO THUMP, DUMP, THUMP,SNAP, POP, CRACKLE here! Only CLEAN music to the ears. You'll be wowed! Nice usable features and you can take it to the BBQ.
Weaknesses:
I hate to even bring this up but I was somewhat disappointed that there was no dock adapters for #'s 8-11. This is a BLUNDER! Someone assumed here that the one you received with your ipod is going to be used exclusively with the miDOCK. Not so! Most of us dock for multiple uses. i.e. computers, stereo, at home/work. Fortunately you can purchase a 3 pack of adapters for $10 or less. Keep this in mind when you go and purchase this unit. But, whatever you do please don't let this sway you away from this unit. It might be some dopey Apple policy...who knows?

This is for everyone that actually "reads" and makes use of the customer reviews. You have landed in the right place! Hopefully you haven't wasted good money on some of the earlier/other manufacturers units that "try" to accomplish what the miDOCK Studio accomplishes with ease and for less money. There are some very good audio products out there that you don't have to overpay for and this is one of them! Polk could have considered calling this the miSWEETDOCK. It is just that, sweet all around...sound, features and styling. I have had Polk speakers in one form or another for 15+ yrs. I didn't even listen to this prior to purchasing it. I just knew that the timing was right for Polk to step into this market. I was right! Everything Polk sounds "clean" from highs to lows, that is their unwritten guarantee! You will not be disappointed! It should be interesting to see how Apple sells this in their stores amongst the competition because the others don't rate.

iPod is very stable in center. Great portability (even a place on the back to keep the remote from getting lost.)

Unable to control the bass and treble.
Review:
I'm very impressed by this system. For this price, its sound seems about at quality as the Bose speaker, which goes for $300. Very simple to get running. Does not produce a tinny sound for louder volumes. Allows for headphone use, or auxiliary inputs. Also, system has an iPod jack on the back for iPod syncing without removing iPod. Very cool. A smart investment.

- The sound quality is outstanding. - The devise is very elegent and attractive it made the TV look so ugly. - its simple.
Weaknesses:
- I cant use the romot control to change the music folders. - The IPOD it self is not very stable in its compartement.

A close friend got me this yesterday.. At first, i couldnt believe the quality of sound. Generally.. I think it one of the most creative ideas conducted in a while.

Weaknesses:
The remote falls out of it's holding cradle very making it very easy to lose. It's so small you would never know you lost it until you need it.
Review:
I had to give it only 4 stars because it does not have an adapter to fit any of my 4 ipods, and the ac power cord did not work from day one! when tested the power cord shows voltages all over the place, must have an internal short. Well change that to a FIVE STAR RATING since I called polk and they said they will send one out to me. Thank You Polk Audio!
