Looks nice.
Weaknesses:
Weak bass.
Review:
Better than the other Polk speakers but not as good as the old MM series. These were bought on the promise that they would be as good as the old MM series.

Looks great and sounds better.
Weaknesses:
Having to leave your car!
Review:
Very clean sound. The mids and highs are crystal clear with an amp. Well worth the money. The only reason that the bass isnt the best is because the woofer part is meant for mids, not lows!! Get the MM12 for the bass part.

None to be found, very nice.
Review:
WOW, These are the best Polks ever. I installed two sets running off of a Phoenix Gold ZX450 in my 94 Chevy Camaro and they just rock!!!! They keep up with the KickerVR subs running in parallel at 2ohms connected to a Phoenix Gold ZX500 without even breathing hard. Great job

two words MID BASS they act like mini-subs don't get me wrong you still need a subwoofer Clean ,loud ,and very smooth
Weaknesses:
styling but thats a personal preference maybe not a weakness to you
Review:
Where do you begin? They have huge mags which is good and bad for obvious reasons. In this reviewers opinion the styling is cheesy. Traditional looks are best unless your entire interior is decked out in MOMO gear. How many people who own these can say theirs is? I can't. What is really important is the swan song that emits from these ugly ducklings. Truly the crowning achievement of Polk Audio engineering. Dynamic Balance should be employed in every speaker manufacturers blueprints, at a price of course. What they do offer is profound mid-bass , the drums will play under your dash , midrange vocals are delivered smooth and clear, if given enough power (100 watts or more) gain set minimum and use a line driver they are among the loudest , clearest , best sounding speakers you could ever hope to own.

Great mid range @ mid bass crisped and detailed highs
Weaknesses:
crossover need better coils @ caps, burn up to easy
Review:
Great sounding driver @ low volumes, how ever when cranked w/100watts RMS also w/a 24DB per octave slop @70Hz the coils in the crossover burn up. they could beef up the crossover some. mid @ tweet how ever don't distort @ higer volumes, but not worth the time @ money to keep replaceing the Xover

Clear and crisp highs while still providing more bass than any other 6 1/2" speaker I've ever owned.
Weaknesses:
Eventually you do have to turn them off.
Review:
Incredible speakers. I am utterly impressed and I am a hard person to please when it comes to audio. I reccomend these speakers to anyone, even if you have to do custom work to make them fit in your car, believe me they're worth it. Way to go Polk!!

The highs and mids are so crisp and so clear that you'd think the bands were playing around you!
Weaknesses:
They are a little bulky but I'd recommend making them work whereever possible.
Review:
I am very impressed with these speakers. They are...hands down...the best sounding speaker I have ever owned. I recommend them to anybody.

Great midbass. Loud. Clean. Nothing better.
Weaknesses:
As powerful as these are the db level can become painfull if you crank it too much.
Review:
Wow... I only have two of the three sets that I bought installed currently and these things blow away anything that i have previosly put in my car. I had some Polk's with the REL tweeters in before and these MOMO's sound great!!!! The Midbass is excellent. I can't turn my system up halfway without my ears searing in pain its so loud...

great speaker for price
Weaknesses:
improvements could be made to get them to sound as good as the old DB speakers
Review:
these speakers are probably the best speakers for the price on the market now...they are loud, clean, and sound very good...i think these are better than the old mobile monitor(mm) series...but dont sound as good as the old DB series...but they can handle more power than the old DBs could...i have about 215 watts going to each crossover with amp crossed over at about 100Hz...ive never had any problem with the coils burning up...great speakers...well worth the money

The produce parts of songs I have never heard before. They look really cool too.
Weaknesses:
I have them running of my crappy kenwood deck and they have some static sound but I think they are just under powered.
Review:
I put these components in the rear deck of my 94 civic with a little cutting because they are so big. They didnt fit in the doors so I had to grind down the holes in the rear deck. It kind of sucks that you pretty much have to do a lot of custom work to get them to fit anywhere. If you can afford them they are great. I also recomend looking on ebay for them. I got them brand new for $185 with shipping.

Very clear, put the mid range ext on, leave the tweeter at -3db and you'll be set!
Weaknesses:
The size, but deal with it there the best!!
Review:
These speakers are in a world of there own. I work at circuit city and I will not recommend anything other than Polk Momo for mids and highs. The crossover is a true crossover where you can adj the db to the tweeter which is a big time +.

An incredible system - just don't count on it for any bass response. With a good set of subs this could be close to perfect.

Clearity and Loudness was its strengths

Review:
I loved these speakers. I have three sets of them in my Jeep Grand Cheeroke. The way i have them mounted, DAMN! it is loud and clear. They work well with my 6 12 inch subs in the backround.

Great sound and clarity, warmer than the infinity kappa perfects
Weaknesses:
too thick for most doors
Review:
Great set, only problem is that they are so damn thick I had to get my whole door restructured just to get them to fit, and a friends door who had them also, but I love them nonetheless and wouldnt trade them in.

Great clarity and decent bass for the size. none of my friends systems sound half as good.
Weaknesses:
sounds bad without being amped up... plan on amplifying and having a deck that puts out decent sound
Review:
I got these speakers at about the middle of the summer of '03. I had them in a dodge neon hooked up to some old pioneer deck and no amp... they sounded SO bad... i was looking at all the posts of people saying how great they were and i was like what??? there was no bass, the tweaters sounded ok but distorted very fast. then i got a Del Sol and hooked them up to a Alpine CDA 9813 which puts out nice clean sound. i amped them up 125 watts a piece with an eclipse 500 watt 4 channel. the difference was incredible... the base does hit hard i dont' know what these guys are talking about no bass, just hope you have a full EQ on ur deck and play with it for a while... the tweeters are amazing, it literally makes me cringe when van halen plays a solo if i have it up anywhers near 3/4 as loud as they can get.

LOUD!!!! Very clear, very crisp, not real power hogs.
Weaknesses:
Huge baskets, expensive. Don't count on them for bass, but as a compliment to a good system. Bottom line, they can far exceed what your ear drums can take!
Review:
I have a set of 6.75" Momo components, and a set of 6x9 Momos in my 1999 Maxima. They are getting 50W RMS a channel from an old Kenwood KAC-744. These things simply scream with this setup, which is half the recomended RMS. I have yet to get them to clip or distort before I want to get out of the car. I have an 10" Infiniti Perfect running off a Kenwood mono-block to fill the bass void. I could not be happier with this system, it is LOUD, clear, and crisp. I am so impressed with the mom's I am contemplating buying the momo sub to top it off.

Great looking, great sounding. Tweeters flush mounted look great. Extremely clear.
Weaknesses:
Huge Magnet, hard to get to fit. But was able after costly modifications. Not as much bass as I had expected, but hello, they arent subwoofers.
Review:
I just had these installed in my 2001 For Taurus SE. I had origionally choose The Alpine Type R components, but changed my mind. And I'm glad I did. These things rock. The installer at American TV in Waukesha WI. did a superb job. He was able to get the tweeter to flush mount right by the mirror. I have power mirrors. Looks great. Couldnt even tell by looking that I had them changed except for the tweeters. I think this would have been the only place to flush mount these tweeters in a Taurus. Great highs, good mids. Nothing but success with the momos, and the component polk DB's I had in my last car. Wouldnt think of buying anything else.

They sound good. 'nuff said
Weaknesses:
Flush mount cups are a little large, some people might have problems with the mid driver size.
Review:
Just bought and installed a set, No problems at all. Highs are by far the best of anything, even better than my friend's Focal Utiopia's. Many people have complained about the lack of bass, I made small fiberglass enclosures inside the doors and my midbass is great.

Good Sound lvls ranging from excelent bass, to amazingly clean highs.
Weaknesses:
TOO HARD TO FIND IN RETAIL STORE!!!
Review:
These speakers are nothing short of amazing. Amping them is a MUST! If you think the bass is nice with the power from your deck, you've been missing out. Ive had 4 sets of these, I wreked my first car and lost everything inside, so I bought some more for my accord, and these sounded even better on my new amp. Custom door mounting is mandatory because if you dont you cant roll down the window, but I dont care, worth every penny and then some.

Can tweak to sound absolutely superb. Classic Polk highs, strong mids, ok bass as desired.
Weaknesses:
Circuit City rep told me Polk quit making the seperates. WHY????
Review:
Picked up a pair of these off Ebay- not cheap but still in great condition. Have them in my F-150 mounted in the stock location driven by an Alpine V12 Expert @50 Watts RMS off a Sony deck. Had to adjust the crossover to -3db, beacue the highs came off to loud, but now sound wonderfull. The mids are smooth, but of course if you want more bass, enclose the back of them. With a good song, I turn the volume on my reciever to the max setting- loud as hell with no distortion (if you tweak your system right). I Love'em. Whats up with this being such a rare speaker POLK?
Polk Response:
Thanks for the wonderful review. The salesperson is incorrect. Polk did not stop making separates, in fact we have two new MOMO separates systems (MMC6500 and MMC5250).

SUPERB RELIABILITY WITH PHENOMINAL SOUND....STYLING IS BEAUTIFUL
Weaknesses:
not available in a 3-way 6" 4" Tweeter combo...If they were, they would give serious competition to Focal.
Review:
These are some of the best components I have ever used!!!! They have by far been the most reliable. I use nothing but Polk in my home system and have been for 7+ years now, and when it came time to compliment my high spl system in my car, Polk was my first and ONLY pic!!!. These Momos look awesome, and turn heads as they are...Glad mine have the 2003 Black grilles as the others really don't look as good! Found a way to remedy the bass issue with them...Use plastic door speaker baffles and they act as enclosures giving them better bottom end. These speakers aren't meant to fire into and open door setup in my experience..Once you utilize some type of enclosure, they come ALIVE!!

Unreal detail. Smooth. Excellent build quality.
Weaknesses:
Gives up some midbass performance for detail. Long break in time.
Review:
These are the best speakers Ive ever owned. Incredible detail, more than any speaker anywhere near this price point. Very smooth highs. The midrange is very smooth and detailed although the midbass does seem to be lacking just a bit. This is usually a trade off for detail. It takes a while for these to break in. When I first hooked these up they were a little thin sounding but after about a month of listening and tweaking they filled out quite nicely. The swivel mounting cup for the tweeters is pure genius. It lets you adjust the aiming of the tweeters anytime you like and makes it very easy to fine tune your imaging. The midrange is built like a sub. Very heavy too. These are very well made speakers.

Great mid-bass and detailed highs at low and moderate volumes. durable and can handle power.
Weaknesses:
the speaker is a little large and can be hard to fit in some vehicles. at very high volumes you lose some clarity and the tweeters begin to smell a little.
Review:
i have owned four sets of these speakers over the last 6 years. ive given them from 20 watts RMS to 150 RMS currently and can take it all just fine. the best sound has been from my jl 300/2 amp. when you dynamat the door the mid bass comes alive very snappy and responsive. if you play loud music and bass heavy cross over at 18db-24db slope at 75-85hz but if you listen to music at moderate volumes set at 18db at 55-65 hz and a good woofer and you should be set. the highs are clean and clear until you get really loud but unless you expect great imaging and detail at those volumes get a really nice set of home speakers. i love these speakers and after all the abuse they have lasted.
