Strengths:

Well built, asthetically pleasing, very well balanced sound.

Weaknesses:

The passive crossover could have looked a little nicer, for those who like to do display style installs...but very minor.

Review:

A vast improvement over the few other 5x7 component sets I have heard. Although not a true component set, as most would define, the range and clarity is hard to argue with. Its nice to see that POLK has taken factory replacement sizes seriously as this speaker is a fine example of. Very well balanced sound, and the range stays true, even at higher volume. I don't recommend trying to run these off of a high power deck though, they like lots of clean power, and decks just wont cut it.

Strengths:

Easy to install, dropped right in exsisting holes. A+ Great highs, and mids. Will take whatever you can throw at em for power.

Weaknesses:

So far none that I can see.

Review:

Great set of speakers. I had the Alpine Type S 5X7's and these are a night and day difference. They compliment my MM6 momo components quite well. They dropped right in without modification in my 2001 Taurus. A+++ Very clear sounding

Strengths:

Mids are out in front - which is characteristically absent from all other brands in this segment.

Weaknesses:

Don't even think about using these without an amp. Will lack detail and clarity if you run straight from a head unit.

Review:

Over the years I have purchased many polk items - mostly for home stereo and now the home theater I just installed. I absolutely love my polks - just ask any of my friends! I have been a faithful customer since 1986 when I bought my first pair of Polk Monitor 10s. I decided to take a chance on the MM570 for my car and so I purchased them and installed them. At the store, they sounded wonderful - particularly the mids - compared to all the other brands the polks brought them out in front more than the others. I was quite suprised to find out how average these speakers sounded in my car. Lack of detail in the mids, and the highs just weren't as clear as I have come to respect Polk for. The result was a general lack of soundstage. Overall the MM570 is an average speaker when hooked up to a high powered after market head unit. Highly disappointing.

Strengths:

Serious Clarity even at high volume's...Really strong Bass...

NONE !!! You'll pay $150. for a pair of sunglasses you will break or lose in a year! Why not spend it on a top set of speakers you will have for many years and really JAM to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review:

I put a set of MMC570'S in the doors of my 2002 Toyota Tacoma regular cab and the sound quality is "UN-REAL"!!! I shopped C-City for two weeks listening to all the major brands and the mids are what sold me...A couple of day's later I had to put two set's of MMC650's in my wifes Rodeo because she loved the sound so much....

Strengths:

Extreme clarity at low and high volume. Everything from Enya, Michael Buble, Sade, Metalica, Dr DRE, and the late Punk Funk Master Rick James is just phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!! The base response is just outstanding. Occasionally I turn of my subs just to hear that full sound coming straight from the Polk’s. Once again just and outstanding set of speakers!

Weaknesses:

Minor sheet metal work to get them to fit the front Tacoma doors. I would do it again if I had too.

Review:

I have been looking for a good quality pair of 5x8's for my 2003 Tacoma Double Cab. After first purchasing my first two pairs of Pioneer 6x8’s I was still not happy with the sound. I needed a pair of speakers that would handle a pure 100 watts @ 2ohm’s with 0.05 THD, and without any peeks or lows. I finally listened to the final four set of speakers Boston Acoustics Z Series, MB Quart Q Series, JL Audio VR Series, and Polk MMC Series. I choose the Polk MMC570’s. I was prepared to spend a good amount of money on a very well established brand of Z Series speakers, but they were out performed by these very well designed and balanced speakers. I assure you that the price difference of $800.00 for the more expensive Z Series was a factor but not the deciding factor. I choose the Polk MMC570 simply because they were a better designed, well balanced, and full sounding speaker. I will be recommending Polk to everyone who asks. Thanks to the Polk Engineers and staff for putting out such a good product!

The only shortcoming I would say is the crossover, its not exactly what you would call flexible, no buttersworth thats for sure. Hopefully next years will be a little higher grade

Review:

A great set of speakers. The dynamic range is incredible, silky smooth highs and great midbass. An all around musical speaker. I have a SQ setup and searched for the best possible 5x7's I could find and I think I got them. The specs are impressive on paper and even more so when you get them installed. Hours and hours of listening pleasure! To the guy Patrick, the only poor reviewer, there is no way its the speakers fault you arent happy. these speakers need to be amped with a real world 75 watts NOT the little power your headunit is giving them. Amp them, Im sure you'll change your mind

Strengths:

Clean highs and very good Bass levels, Sound amazing with an amp and easy to install and setup. Its a very simple plug and play install

Hard to find speaker covers to fit, besides that its an awsome high!!

Review:

I Had a pair of Bostons 5x7 and when i started getting into systems i thought i got a great of speakers oh boy was i rong!, Then I got these speakers. It was like night and day!. These are the type of speakers i wanted. I had these crappy bostons for so long i forgot what clear music sounded like. Now these hit right along with my JL 12"w6v2. and with my JL 300/4 powering these speakers i just love turning on my system and showing of the SQ of these speakers

Tweeter extends too high from profile. Makes mounting in my F250 front doors difficult, but worth it. Crossover needs better mounting accomodations to install without drilling. Maybe a super sticky tape.

Awesome even without an amp but I will add one soon! Best 5x7 I have EVER heard!

None. Only weakness for me is I had to cover up the Speaker, It is an awesome looking speaker, and had to put the door panel over it.

Review:

I put 4 of these in my 2004 F-150 Supercab. They are the best 5 x 7's by far. Tons of Bass for a small speaker. The mids are awesome and the Highs are extremly High. So clear, Cannot say anymore, Polk Audio simply makes the best.

Strengths:

This speaker sounds as good as it looks. Great sound throughout the whole spectrum.

Weaknesses:

None! Although it took a little work to run the wires and mount the crossover; which is not Polks fault.

Review:

I put a pair of theses in my '02 ford F150 and MAN theses are awesome speakers. Great bass response for 5x7's and the purest sound I have heard yet come from a pair of speakers.

Crystal clear highs, mids, lows. Now I know what a half way decent system sounds like with Polk momo's. Super 3 year warranty also.

Getting dirty looks from the cops all the time....

I put 4 of these bad boys behind an Alpine CDA-9813 and an Alpine MRVF340 amp. Unbelievable stupendous sounds. Combined with low cost MTX TRI 10inch sealed box behind an American Pro Bass Machine V.S.1405 600w rms/1200w peak.

The best all-around speaker on the market. Alpine and Infinity have nothing to match it for the price.

Bracket holding the magnet and speaker is a bit large.

Review:

I installed 4 of these speakers in my 2005 Focus zx3. Although the rear speakers required some cutting to install, it was still rather simple. (the crossover made it much easier) Sound Quality Low: This is where the speakers shine. These speakers reproduce extremely tight and accurate bass response for their size. Enough so that I do not need to add a subwoofer :) Mid: The best way to judge a quality speaker is its mid range reproduction and this speaker is one of the best. The mids are right out in front, they don't get drowned out when heavy bass occurs. A consistent sound. High: Crystal clear highs :)

Strengths:

The Bass Response from these speakers sound phenomonal, if your looking to upgrade your system without adding a subwoofer these are the speakers to get. Also i love the fact that they come with crossovers so your basically getting components.

Weaknesses:

NONE.

Review:

I recently purchased 2 sets of the Polk MOMO 5x7s for my Ford Ranger and i put them on a Precision Power 4 channel amplifier and man do they sound great. If you would like a comparsion, these speakers overwhelm my bass and i have 4 12 inch Kicker CVR's. They are that loud.

My only problem is that crossovers occasionally blow, but quality is deffinetly not a weakness.

Review:

I have 4 sets of Polk Momo's in my f150 i took them off to be put on a Dodge Magnum. I have 2 DLS A2 Amps and 2 sets on each, and i have to say i have not heard anything better in my life. Crystal clear and crisp sound that cannot be matched. I have contacted PolkAudio with my comments and recommend them to everyone.

Strengths:

Power rating, looks, cone stiffness, Tweeters are really good. Exellent spider...not too stiff but also not too soft.

Weaknesses:

ummmmmmmm.......the fact that they take money to buy? (it took me 15 mins to think this one up) But really, they are kind of deep. you will need some space to mount them.

Review:

I love how they look and the tweeters arent glassy in the highs.(a good thing) They need an dedicated amp to move them! They will beat tha sh*t out of your head unit amplifier, and sound average. They sound pheonomenal with a good amp. I have them in my 2000 expedition EB, and they dont fit into the stock enclosures too well. I need some recomendations for baffles or fitment rings to seal them. I currently do not have the midrange bass response that they should be providing me with. (they're not sealed around the edge due to the deep structure in a small enclosure.....pretty much Open air.)
