Professional Pre-Construction Brackets for Easy In-Wall & In-Ceiling Loudspeaker Installation
Polk Audio Pre-Construction Brackets attach to your studs or joists before drywall is hung. They designate the exact location, and exact cut space, where your loudspeaker will installed. They give your electrician a wiring target, and give your drywaller a hole template.
Pre-Construction Brackets add that extra pinch of energy-harnessing, super-efficient rigidity that a built-in speaker needs. One more step toward keeping your built-in loudspeakers vibration-free, with added efficiency and less audio "print through" (when sound bleeds through walls into adjacent rooms).
They're the inexpensive alternative to our Custom Performance Enclosures, and give you more flexibility for speaker placement. (And if you're using Performance Enclosures, you don't need Pre-Construction Brackets.)

Gets the job done by allowing contractors to cut a perfect hole.
Weaknesses:
The plastic is very cheap and frail. WAY over priced for two pieces of plastic.
Review:
For the price this is defiantly not worth it. These couldn't have cost more than $1 to manufacture. The plastic is flimsy and you must be very delicate. I'd recommend only buying these if you have an area where you don't want to cut around post-construction (i.e. aluminum siding). If installing in sheetrock don't bother buying these, instead install a $2 gang box that can be cut out afterwards.
