Robust (adj.) 1. Full of strength, vigorous. 2. Rich and full. Bingo. Mid-sized room? Need big bass, but don't need a subwoofer that's as big as your couch? Try the PSW350. 100 watts of continuous power move the 10-inch driver with incredible bass and accurate musicality. Its modest size makes it easy to place in a cabinet or behind furniture for unobtrusive high performance. (Unobtrusive (adj.) Not noticeable.)

- Dual flared ports for low distortion
- High current power amplifier

- Unfiltered LFE input for use with low pass filtered subwoofer output jacks
- Adjustable lowpass crossover, phase switch and volume control allows perfect blending with any main speaker.

This is an excellent complement to my Klipsch Quintet speakers. It is much nicer thn the Klipsch sub that they recommend. I use the PSW350, Klipsch Quintet and an HK AVR220. Great system to complement my Hitachi UWX 16x9 43" TV.

It's accuracy in producing true low bass notes and dynamic sonic realism is incredible.

Review:
It complements my Sony system consisting of the STR-SE591 Digital Audio/Video Control Center, which came with five speakers. Two SS-U591AV, one SS-CT302 and two SS-RS302's. The Polk adds incredible depth to my system. I listened to six other top label subs before I decided on the Polk. It produced more real musical notes as opposed to just thumps or pounding booms. It's got massive power and the crossover is very smooth. In LFE mode with movies in the A/V setup, crashes and sudden impacts are amazing. I am very pleased with my sub. I paid $349.95 + tax in December of 2000.

This is my first ever home theatre subwoofer and I am so impressed with it that I would recommend it to anyone looking for performance and value. It truly adds to the home theatre experience. It is also great for just listening to your favorite tunes. You can really crank the volume and get no distortion.

Review:
The quintessential "bang for the buck"! I recently replaced my old Polk Audio Monitor 6 passive subwoofer with the PSW 350. To say the difference is amazing would be an understatement. I had been looking to do a modest upgrade of my old speakers (on a side note: for those that never purchased Polk Speakers before, their customer service is unequalled in ANY industry) and I knew I would only look at Polk. The PSW 350 was on sale for an unheard of $200 (plus it has an LFE Input) so that's what sold me. After hooking up this subwoofer it made me sad knowing what I had been missing all these years!

LFE input is really nice. Controls are quite good, finish is also decent. Amount of bass is good for smaller rooms.
Weaknesses:
accuracy in the bass. Cabinet construction. The cabinet is not internally braced, and for sound absorbtion, there is only a small piece of poly-fill.
Review:
I purchased a LSi system for home theater (9's, C and FX)and it sounds really nice. I bought the PSW 350 to bring up the low end for thumps and bumps. It booms and explodes ok, but for music, it does not keep up with the rest of the system. It's really evident when you listen to a pipe organ. The low pipes are muddy and lack distinction in tones. Plugging the ports helps a little bit and makes it less boomy. I think this sub is tuned for thump at the sacrifice of clarity. For it's price and what it is, I think it's ok. For what I was looking for, I think it was the wrong choice. Maybe I should have gotten the 650, but that one is physically too large for the area I have.

Good for music - plug the ports with a couple of rolled up socks and it tightens up the lows. Probably good for movies in a smaller room.
Weaknesses:
Plug the ports, then the only weakness is the lack of power for room shaking effects in movies in my rather large room, so I turn on the second Sub.
Review:
My system consists of 4 RT55i's in each corner, a cs245i center speaker, a PSW350 Sub and a Velodyne 10" Sub, a Yamaha HTR-5280 receiver and a Sony DVD/CD player, in a 20x20+ room. I've been using the PSW350 for over a year now. It was a bit boomy at high listening levels and I played around with the placement and finally put a pair of rolled up athletic socks in the ports (in the back). This cleaned it up and it now has a tighter sound. For my misic listening this sub does a good job. My music/movie room is 20x20+ so it takes a lot of power to do the job. For movies that have a lot of explosive sound effects, I leave the Polk on and also turn on my Velodyne Sub. The two of them together create a heck of an atmosphere. The 10 inch Polk doesn't have the power by itself, maybe the PSW 650 would do the trick. I will be upgrading the center speaker soon - probably with a CSi40. The RT55i's are magnificent, no upgrading needed.

I added the PSW350 to an Onkyo Component Shelf System with a sub-woofer pre-out. I was amazed at the difference it made. I felt that I had to immediately listen to all of my favorite music to hear what I had been missing. The PSW350 gave me a whole new appreciation of music.

Tight, clean, powerful bass from a 10" sub.
Weaknesses:
None. Although I prefer the skinny tower-style subs compared to the boxy-type.
Review:
Excellent sub that really kicks. Was originally looking at the 8" 100w and the 10" 50w, but found this little guy for $200 brand new. Great sound with a great brand name. Music, movies...all sound superb. Nice sound and remember, placement means everything. Where you park this sub can make all the difference. Mine is in the corner of my 14'x17' living room; about 6" from the wall so the sound can bounce off from behind. Easy controls and hook-up to my shelf system (until I get a nice Sony receiver). Highly recommend.

None, if it's used in a small enough room.
Review:
I gave it five stars because it sounds great for only a 100 watt subwoofer. More importantly, i've had it since the year 2000. It still performs just the same since the day i bought it, and that is hard to find in many products. I have recommended many friends to try Polk just because of the reliability alone.

Review:
I've had my PSW350 for almost 5 years now. Hard to belive it's been than long, but this beast just keeps on pumping. I have a smaller sized family room with a wood floor and the bass is outstanding. It still sounds as good as the day I bought it and my only regret is that I only have one and not two.

"The PSW350 clearly went plenty low for real home theater impact...It also sounded impressively even, with little or no undue emphasis on any region of bass."
