Satelite speaker for RM Series speaker systems
Big Speaker Sound...Without the Big Speaker
The RM201 Satellite Speaker is packaged and sold singly and is intended for use with RM Series systems. Its stylishly sculpted Pewter anodized Aluminum enclosure looks awesome next to your plasma or flat screen television, and can be mounted either on the wall using its aimable bracket or on or below your TV using its aim-able cradle. Either way, this satellite speaker was designed for maximum clarity and low distortion.
High tech materials and features, such as Power Port Venting and Dynamic Balance technologies, ensure superior performance, delivering rich, full-bodied, big speaker sound from a stylish, compact package.
The RM201 features:
- Stylishly curved satellite enclosure formed of heavy duty, non-resonant Aluminum; the shape breaks up internal standing wave resonance for pure, lifelike sound.

Power Port Vent hidden under the grille extends and strengthens lower-midrange performance for full, rich, natural voices and other midrange sounds.
- Swivel Wall-Mounting Bracket with hidden wire channel
- Threaded inserts on the back enclosure allow use of fully articulating brackets (sold separately).
- Two 3-1/4 inch (8.25cm) Mineral Filled Polymer Dynamic Balance midrange drivers for clear, distortion-free midrange.

Great sound quality--not too bright, and suprisingly good bass reproduction when necessary. Stylish design, and solid build quality.
Weaknesses:
Though very solid speakers, still not good as some bookshelf speakers in similiar (though slightly higher price ranges).
Review:
In my setup, my only option was to mount speakers on my wall in plain view. Therefore, I chose these speakers for size and appearance, expecting to compromise a bit on sound. Not so with these. Very clean sound, connected to a Denon 3805 receiver. This is the first pair of Polk speakers. Based on these, plan to purchase CSi5 center channel and RTi6 speakers for left and rights. Great job guys!
