Big Speaker Sound...Without the Big Speaker
Beauty and Brawn in One Compact Loudspeaker
The RM30's stylishly sculpted Pewter anodized Aluminum enclosures look awesome next to your plasma or flat screen television, and can be mounted either on the wall using their aimable brackets or on shelves with the provided desk stands. Either way, this speaker was designed for minimal intrusion into your space, and maximum sound quality. High tech materials and features, such as Power Port venting and composite materials technologies, ensure superior performance, delivering rich, full-bodied, big speaker sound from stylish, compact packages.
The RM30 features:
•Stylishly curved enclosures formed of heavy duty, non-resonant Aluminum; the shape breaks up internal standing wave resonance for pure, lifelike sound.
•The satellites feature Power Port Bass Vents hidden under the grilles to extend and strengthen their lower-midrange performance for a seamless blend with the subwoofer. Unlike competing satellite systems, with this system you'll experience full, rich, natural voices and other midrange sounds.
- Speakers packaged one to a carton so you can easily configure a 6.1 or 7.1 channel system of perfetly matched speakers.
- Swivel Wall-Mounting Brackets with hidden wire channels
- Threaded inserts on the back of the enclosure allow use of fully articulating brackets (sold separately).
- Custom designed desk or shelf stands included
- Dual 4-1/2 inch (11.4cm) Mineral Filled Polymer Dynamic Balance midrange drivers for clear, distortion-free midrange even at high volume levels.
- Broad dispersion design allows everyone in the listening area to hear clear, well-balanced sound.
- High performance 1 inch (25mm) Dynamic Balance Silk/Polymer Composite Dome Tweeter for sweet highs and more lifelike imaging.
- Connect your RM30s securely and conveniently with their high quality 5-way binding post inputs.
- Magnetically shielded for safe placement near your state-of-the-art TV or video monitor with no risk of video distortion.

Review:
I picked up three new RM30’s at a deep discount from a Tweeter closeout sale. They are the new fronts and center of what has now grown into a 7.1 system. I had been using the Polk RM20 5-Pack that I bought last year and was so pleased with its performance that I did not hesitate to add the RM30’s without having heard them. There is no difference between the RM30 and RM302 with the exception of the grille. I saved a bunch by avoiding the extra expense of the 302. Something with retailers that think a center should cost more. Go figure. Nonetheless, it only took a simple call to Polk’s customer service desk and $20 to order an RM302 grille so that when mounted horizontally under my plasma the center speaker sports the Polk logo in the proper orientation. Out of the box I was both surprised and impressed at how much larger the RM30 is when compared to its little brother the 20. These speakers setup very easily. The wall mounting brackets are sturdy. In fact, all of the mounting hardware is rock solid. In my application the fronts are presented on the included stands, which I suppose could be designed differently as the speakers merely sit on them using both their shape and their considerable weight to keep them in place. If you have young children that tend to get into things, you would do well to place these speakers out of their reach. Still, they’re solid, stable and pleasing to the eye. I am happy with the provided base as it works very well in my application. Sound is what I paid for here, and I can’t help but smile every time I turn the system on. The 4½" cones and the extra ¼" in the tweeter make a distinctly noticeable improvement in sound reproduction over what the RM20 and 201 offered. I took advantage of the bi-wiring capability that the dual binding posts offer and would recommend that setup to anyone using speakers with like capability. These speakers are crisp and startlingly clear. Sound is deep and well rounded. The soundstage is wide and imaging is dramatic. Highs are crystal clear and voice is strongly presented. Of course a good sub is still needed, but that’s a given. Sub blending is perfect in my setup. I would recommend the RM30 without hesitation.

Review:
I picked these up for my rear speakers refurbished from Polk Audio Direct on Ebay for an AMAZING price. I hooked these up to my fronts to test them and they are incredible speakers. I have RTi12's for my fronts now, but if size is an issue, these are very impressive.
