About the RM Series
Amazingly small and easy to integrate into any decor, sleek molded RM speakers use exclusive Polk technologies, such as Dynamic Balance®, to really fill your room with sound. They deliver the level of performance demanded by audio enthusiasts, while providing the utility and price to fit any budget and home theater environment.
The RM's unique combination of performance and utility has earned the Polk RM Series the coveted Audio Video International Grand Prix Award for ten consecutive years!
Powered Subwoofers Set Polk RM Above the Competition
The key to a great sub/sat system? The advanced technology of Polk powered subwoofers provides far better performance and vastly more control than any passive woofer could offer. With a Polk RM System you'll hear bass depth and impact that challenges professional movie theater systems. (And better than any movie theater, you'll be able to precisely control the bass level to suit your taste and the acoustics of your room.) It's deep, powerful, plaster-cracking bass, and greater placement flexibility than any competitive system with a wimpy passive woofer.
Matched Sats - The Secret of Perfect Surround Sound
Surround sound moves around your room from speaker to speaker. Airplanes fly over, conversations take place off-screen and bullets fly past your couch. As sound moves from speaker to speaker, it's vitally important that the character of that sound does not change as it passes from speaker to speaker. Mismatched satellite speakers cannot do this. So the left, right and center satellite speakers of the RM Series Home Theater Speaker Systems use identical drivers and tweeters throughout to insure a perfectly lifelike, seamless soundstage. You get maximum sonic realism and surround sound fun.

Clean Bass and Clear highs.
Weaknesses:
None.
Review:
I have had this system for over one year now and the crystal clear detail just blows me away everytime. The PSW350 sub pumps out very clean low bass. The Sats do anything you play justice. Just an amazing system.

Soud is great. Nice styling.
Weaknesses:
Too sensitive.
Review:
overal mixed review. The osund is quite good but speakers seem overly sensitive. It oculd be my sony receiver but three of the speakers have already been damaged at relatively low volume levels.

VERY CLASSY LOOKING SPEAKER WITH A GREAT BUILD QUALITY.
Weaknesses:
GRILLS ARE VERY FRAGILE, IE DURING REMOVAL FOR DUSTING OR CLEANING
Review:
THESE SPEAKERS ARE VERY IMPRESSIVE DURING DOLBY DIGITAL, DTS, DTS ES, AND DOLBY EX. THEY ALSO SOUND VERY GOOD DURING DTS MUSIC PLAYBACK, TIMBRE MATCHED AND ALL ON THE SAME PAGE. SPEAKERS ARE MOST IMPRESSIVE WHEN ONKYO 5 CHANNEL STEREO MODE IS BEING USED.

Powerful, clear sound when combined with a higher end reciever and sub. Speaker size great for easy, descrete placment in any room size.
Weaknesses:
none that I could hear!
Review:
I bought the RM6600 speakers minus the sub about a year and half ago. I combined the RM6600 speakers with a Yamaha YST-SW160 subwoofer. The RM6600 speakers are the very best I've ever owned. They have crystal clear highs and out standing sonic range when combined with the Yamaha sub.

Good sound and looks pretty sharp.
Weaknesses:
The controls for the sub are in an awkward place (back of speaker). It can be a bit of an inconvience during a party.
Review:
I recently bought the RM6600. Overall not a bad system for the price.

Reproduces any analog or digital score with incredible accuracy and detail. Great job Polk!
Weaknesses:
The sub is very clean but a little aggressive in tight spaces (I.E. dormitory) if you can call that a weakness.
Review:
I was very satisfied with the complete package. The center and sats. and sub are accurate with a good punch. Does all the things a hand picked surround set can do without the hassle. I can't imagine there are many equals or superiors to this set other than their more expensive counterparts.

Absolutely clear sound on all volume range on classical and jazz music which I love to listen to. Watching DVD is a delight with this system.
Weaknesses:
None whatsoever!
Review:
Being a symphony conductor I am very particular about selecting speakers. This surround system was a pleasant surprise to my ears when I visited Circuit City to evaluate along with other expensive brands. After listening to this system and others it became absolutely clear choice for me. I have been extremely pleased to its performance for the past two years.

Highs to lows, and everything inbetween are fantastic. From jazz to blues, movies to tv, it is a remarkable system
Weaknesses:
I haven't found any yet and will be surprised if i do.
Review:
Having been 'brought up' in the 60's and 70's and with music being a great interest for many decades, I am familar with many brands/styles of speakers. I wanted a 'large' speaker sound in a small system, but figured i would have to have at least a pair of one of the Polk towers series to get the sound with the loudness i wanted. The 6600 is unbelievable!! The highs, clarity, lows, everything is totally remarkable. The listening area for this system is approx 28'x 26' and it sounds as if the band is right there in the room with us. I am truly impressed. And so are my friends.

Incredible sound for the size and price of this system.
Weaknesses:
None really. It would be nice to have a remote controlled sub but for the money I can't complain at all!
Review:
I've had this system for about a year now. The sound is open and clear with a nice punchy bottom end. I had a pair of Polk RTA 11t's (Dual 8" in woofers, dual 6" in mids and a 1" tweeter) that I bought over ten years ago and have retired them due to space limitations in my new house. I can't believe the sound quality and quantity the RM6600's push out with my Yamaha RX-V992 and can easily compare them to my older model. Great job!

Crisp Sound, Full Range, Heavy solid Body

Review:
WOW, what is there to say these speakers are just wonderful. The sound is crisp even at low levels. I cranked this system on watching the matrix using a Harmon Kardon avr125 reciever and was practically blown off my bed durring the chopper scene. I can only say I am very picky when it comes to quality however these speakers blow away everything I tried.

The amazing vocal range and depth that comes out of these speakers.
Weaknesses:
Hooked up to my Harmon Kardon receiver, I can honestly say "None".
Review:
What can I say. I shopped for a satelite/sub package for a long time and listened to every brand in every price range. When I finally heard the RM6600 coupled with the PSW350 for the first time, I bought them on the spot along with a Harmon Kardon receiver to push them. When it comes to reproducing sound, I look for the total package. Other systems have really clear crisp highs but lack the depth of sound that comes from the mid and low sound ranges. This system not only provided the crisp detail I was looking for but also provided the low and mid sound ranges that makes movies come alive and music you can feel. It is truely one of the best packages out there. I still shop and listen to the new systems that come out but I can honestly say that the RM6600 coupled with the PSW350 still sounds the best and I bought my system 2 years ago. For a speaker system that costs less than $1000 and still beats most things out there, now that should say something.

Very crisp sound across all channels, and very impressive lows on the base side. Good work Polk!
Weaknesses:
Speaker mount screw holes on back of satelites could be a little stronger!
Review:
When I started shopping for a speaker system, I must say that Bose Accustimas 15 was my choice until I heard the two systems side by side. For the money, Polk RM6600 was more crisp, and produced lower base sounds from the sub. My only problem now is finding someone who will sell me a single RM2300 satelite for my rear center channel. I have this hooked to my Onkyo TX DS797, absolutely great!

For the size of the speakers they sound great.
Weaknesses:
Dont know of one!!
Review:
I needed speakers that would accommodate my limited living space, but I needed a full, strong sound. Wow! And for the price of the package,I am truly impressed with these satelites. Through a sound demo, the Polk speakers performed better with the same amp driving them along with a set of Bose. Dolby Digital 5.1 sounds awesome. I cant believe something so small can sound just as good as bigger sized speakers. Thank you Polk, for making my living room sound like Manns Chinese Theater.!

Crystal, clear sound. Powerful for the any size speaker, let alone the small size of these guys!
Weaknesses:
That's easy. None
Review:
THE best speakers I've ever owned. I've compared speakers and systems in, and out of my price range, and I'm really impressed with this system. Compared to a Bose set which was 4 times what I paid for my Polk system, the Polk was simply, richer. I did 't get the sub with the system, I'm using my older Aiwa TS-W5u sub, and base model Yamaha receiver RXV430 but it's still is a pleasure to hear.I paid $400.00 @The Wiz.

Thank you Steve, Paul and Matt! I know for what I had been waiting so long. My friend has dreamt about good, solid set of speakers to his HT system. He has tried B&W 300, Wharfedale Diamons 8 and at last he decided to buy Avance Omegas 500. When he dropped to my apartment to hear my Polks he was absolutely shocked - so small RMs play solid, crisp and clear sound.

Rich, clear, deep bass even from extreme lows in rap music. Simple design makes them easy to work on.
Weaknesses:
Soundboards were dirty and would not function when first purchased, but were easily fixed.
Review:
I have been waiting to upgrade for years. I finally found what I was looking for w/ the rm6600. I don't have the sub, but the center and satellites make a huge difference in music and movies. And I only paid $80 for the set.

Fantastic sound and reliability.
Weaknesses:
None that I have observed.
Review:
I've had this speaker system for 7 years now and it is still producing great sound. I've just moved it from the basement to a much larger family room and the subwoofer has no problem filling the area with great bass.
