Big Speaker Sound... Without the Big Speaker
Introducing a complete home theater audio solution for people who crave true cinema excitement without breaking the bank. the RM6750. The integrated Power Port Bass Vent designed right onto the back of the compact Satellite & Center Channel speakers-the same technology used in full-sized Polk Audio speakers-improves lower midrange response and all-important sub/sat blending, taking the RM6750 beyond the performance realm of any other sub/sat system in this price range. This integrated design reveals midrange with no "hole" in the frequencies between the sats and the sub, for male vocals that are rich and full-not thin and weak like other sub/sat systems. The RM6750 comes with its own subwoofer module, an 8 inch long throw driver and high current power amplifier for real ground-shaking bass thrills.
The RM6750 features:
- Satellites use a 3-1/4 inch (8.25cm) Polymer composite cone driver: lightweight and efficient, for clear, distortion-free midrange. The center speaker uses two of the same high quality drivers for even greater output capability.
- Integrated baffle and grille design allows maximum sound dispersion with minimum diffraction for superior imaging and room-filling sound. Everyone in the room hears clear, well-balanced sound.
- High performance 1/2 inch (12mm) Silk Dome Tweeters for superior imaging and smooth highs.
- Mineral-filled Polypropylene Enclosures are non-resonant for great looks and natural sound.
- Satellites available in either Black or Titanium finish (Subwoofer is always easy-to-hide black)
- Individual satellites available to accommodate 6.1 or 7.1 channel systems.
- Integrated Keyhole Slot wall mounting brackets (two Keyhole Slots on Center Channel Speaker) allow for easy wall mounting, with no extra brackets or wall mounts to buy; threaded inserts accept popular articulating brackets (sold separately).
- The Subwoofer, in a compact ported enclosure, features an 8-inch Long-Throw Dynamic Balance Poly Composite Driver for longer driver excursion and better linearity, resulting in big, musical bass.
- Built-in Subwoofer power amp (50 Watts Continuous/100 Watts Dynamic Power) with active crossover offers the control you need for real home theater thrills and big, musical, accurate bass. Features variable Low-Pass Filter and Volume (level) controls, as well as Phase Switching Toggle, and signal-sensing Auto ON/OFF, for even more control and convenience.

Great range of sound when complimented with a good AVR.
Weaknesses:
None really for the price and quality.
Review:
These speakers are the best;so much sound through the range from something so small. I paid $499.99CAD which was a great deal. I am SO happy I did not buy a surround sound system in a box.

Great sound at a reasonable price - system was purchased 'on sale'! System well suited to todays trends - smaller can be better !
Weaknesses:
Multi-lingual System manual very brief and printed in very small type size. Spring clips on all speakers instead of binding posts.
Review:
I purchased this compact audio system for home theater and music listening. I am quite pleased with the big sound from these small speakers. I'm sure there are better systems available, if your budget allows it - but the results so far, are very satisfying. The information available on the Polkaudio web site was very educational, and really aided me in getting the most out of my RM6750 system.

lower distortion than other equivalent priced products. smooth tone and effective low mid and bass from sub without pronounced frequency bumps like other similar priced products.
Weaknesses:
satelite speakers produce weak low mids, sub seems too light, perhaps needs more insulation and lacks decoupling feet. Satelites not acousticaly matched, obvious tonal differences are present with pink noise, but not unacceptably.
Review:
For the price I paid for these speakers I am VERY impressed. My use is for movies and gaming in a small appartment that is acousticaly treated. I used stands to elevate satelites to ear level. I first started with the Athena Micra system which was equivalently priced and has simialr spec - same size drivers and sub. A friend picked up the Polks when our local dealer was out of the Athena system and I was surprised at the diffence so I grabbed a Polk system to A/B. Although the Polks are not acoustically matched, the little speakers exhibit much less distortion at -32db on my Pioneer VSX-815-K 100-watt reciever than the Athena's, even my non audio focused wife noticed the difference saying they were more "smooth". The sub does a good job of filling in the low mid and bass but does not shake the room with LFE effects from the .1 channel, as should not be expected for this size and price. I am using the crossover in my reciever set to 150hz with the LPF on the sub set to 150hz, not the reccomended setup from the polk manual which uses the sub as a crossover and amp for your front L and R channels, which I have not tried.

size, easy to hook up and great, full sound
Weaknesses:
None than I have found, I perfectly happy.
Review:
These speakers sound like much larger speakers. I have limited room to set speakers so I was looking for smaller speakers and most lost all bass and most mid-range. These speakers have great mid-range and sound very "full". Handle plenty of power. The center speaker is very good on movies and excellent on music. I compared to several others and these were clearly the best sounding speakers on the small HT group. I did not get the sub-woofer so no comments there

I just bought this system. This is very good sound. The subwoofer is not good as I expect. But the center speaker is awesome. Good price for 400

Good satelite and center units sound quality.
Weaknesses:
Rather poor subwoofer power and quality. Sats with just the spring clips for speaker connections.
Review:
Just bought this Sub/Sat HT system (Nov'04). Sound quality from the satelite and center units are good, clear, and crisp. However, the subwoofer quality is rather poor. Would highly prefer this system to come with at least the PSW202, and sat units with 5-way binding post inputs for secure, high performance cable connections. Really wonder how much cost price difference between the spring clips vs 5-way binding post !!!

Strong sound, center channel rocks!
Weaknesses:
None, I have a very small audio & video room in my home and these speakers are perfect
Review:
Great sound, the speakers are much better than the Kenwoods I replaced. I had a passive sub with the previous Kenwood so the powered sub woofer is much better. I will change out the Kenwood receiver next to hopefully realize the potential of the 6750's. I paid only $299.95

Sound and efficiency. They were twice as loud as the JBL's and did not break up as the JBL's did. (comperable JBL's that is)
Weaknesses:
Weak subwoofer but with the 10 inch sub deal this is no longer an issue.
Review:
I purchased this setup with the PSW10 subwoofer which was part of the deal from the store. I got it for 450 bucks. The 10 inch sub turns this system into a completely diferent system. The performance is terrific. I am really impressed. The 8 inch sub does not get it done but with the 10 it is a complete system. It blew the JBL's in the store totally away as well as any other products they had. This is a total system that as always is the best. I have a set of Polk monitors from the late 70's I cannot say enough good about them. They are still working "VERY WELL" I have not had any trouble with them in ANYWAY. This is no promo it is the simple truth. They have been working for over 25 years with no issues at all and they still kick butt. Try to find any other company that can beat that. GOOD LUCK!!! Matt Polk...I LOVE your speakers dude. Keep up the superior work. Yours are the best.

Review:
TThese Polk’s are replacing a 12" JBL powered sub and a set of Bose 901's this is because of space and wanting surround sound that’s not going to happen with 901's. I was quite impressed with the sound I won’t be missing my old speakers as much as I thought I would, these Polk’s ROCK

Weaknesses:
Small speakers and a weak subwoofer. One is better off purchasing a better Polk system as mentioned above.
Review:
This system is strictly for someone who wants an entry level system. The center speaker is totally inadequate since Polk's web site states that "52%" of the sound in a 5.1 setup comes out of the center speaker. I took it back and purchased a Polk CS1 center speaker, and four Monitor 30 speakers - two for the front (left and right) and two for the back (surround). Plus the PSW10 subwoofer. What an improvement! Polk makes excellent products - you just have to spend a little more for one of the better setups.

Review:
I just bought the speakers and mix them with Harman Kardon amplification system. The result is great for a fairly cheap price. If you want a sound system that cost below a grand, those are the right choice. You have to adjust the sub frequency and volume for optimal sounding and it won't be as weak as mentioned in the other review...

Didn't even think about Polk Audio when I was looking for a low price 5.1 speaker system. However the local electronic had the set on sale. So I could not resist. Together with an Onkyo receiver for $99 I got a cheap but decent surround system.

When I decided to purchase these speakers I had them compared to higher price polk audio 5.1 set and harmon kardon 5.1 set. Amazingly this set was the best in clarity and sound. Overall I am impressed by the size of ths speaker and subwoofer. The output on these are phenomenal matched with my pioneer vsx917.

Sound quality, price, compact size, good instructions, look smooth, Easy upgrade to 7.1 later, and you can say "Yeah, I have Polks".
Weaknesses:
The Sub may be underpowered for some in a big room.
Review:
I set this up on a corner desk around the big monitor, this is outstanding. Speakers are solid and heavy and sound like Polks always have. The sub is a great size for a small room, not overpowering but Bass a'plenty. A reasonably priced receiver will do these speakers justice.

Clear sound, good frequency range for satellites
Weaknesses:
Like many home theaters, distribution of frequencies not perfect, but sometimes you can't have everything!
Review:
Very impressed for the price! Distribution of frequencies might not be as optimal as I would've liked between the satellites and the sub, but for the price the sound clarity is very good. If somebody is looking for a better home theater system sound than this they would have to spend at least double the price.

I have Pansonic's newest SA -XR700 HDMI Blu Ray ready Receiver, plus Panasonic's Blu Ray Player BD10A. The speakers sound exceptionially well considering this speaker bundle costs only a small fraction of my home entertainment center (I added additionial Polk Audio mid range speakers). I definately will buy Polk as I think its the best quality for the money spent.

Nice high range in satellites.
Weaknesses:
Not the best for larger rooms
Review:
I tryed to replace two full size Pioneer speakers with these and it might have been a mistake. The lows in the satellites offer much to be desired - almost muddy in my opinion - but I have them in a full size dedicated home theater. I would recommend them for a small room, dorm or apt, but you will need to spend more for a larger room. I compensated by keeping the Pioneers and wired the Polks from them. They have a great high range that the Pioneers didnt so they complement each other perfectly. Adding two more satellites (generic KLH) for 7.1, and I am in movie heaven. The sub is adequate, but again I have them in a large room.

my RM6750 is powered by Denon AVR-1508 and you would think its a perfect match. I have heard more exspensive brands that didn't sound as good. I replaced a system that was quite exspensive but out dated around ($2000.00)but not digital, yeah old. and was thinking I was going to spend A lot of money for this system and was pleasantly suprised at the cost of this sound. POLK keep up the good work for us medium class people.

Sat's resonate in lower midrange.
Review:
For the $199 I paid on black Friday from Circuit City, this system would be hard to beat. In fact, I'd say hard to beat below $500. Satellites ring a little in lower-midrange and not the most articulate speaker I have ever heard. Highs are controlled but lacking in ultimate detail. But again for the money, hard to beat.

Review:
I am just a poor, old white guy (just stating the obvious) who had been seeking perfection from a home theatre speaker system. I had navigated through the maze of Infinity, JBL, H/K, KEF, Bose and a bunch more until I came upon the PolkAudio RM6750's. I find that the ratio of benefit to cost is extremely high, which means that these sound GREAT. For me the sub gives me just enough clean bass without overdriving. I am now hearing sounds from my DVD's that I have never heard before. I think that I would have named them "Reality Squared", because they are that good. Thanks, PolkAudio, you guys are something else......

Subwoofer came in black although speakers are titanium. Would have been nice if of same color. Also, sub is very boxy..some curves could have improved the appearance.
Review:
I was researching on internet before ordering this speaker system and read very good reviews. Got these speaker system from reward points from employer so, I would say got it for free. Hooked it up to pionner sx-517 receiver and bang ! I was really astonished to hear the sound crispiness and clarity especially watching DVD movies. This is very compact and powerful. Specially the subwoofer rocks ! Can't keep the volume high though, due to living in apartment. One thing I would suggest to someone who is trying to set this up. Buy the speaker stands for the surround speakers and if you set the speakers right (as per the receiver and polk manual) you would get the best effect !

GREAT value. Makes your amplifier sound like a high-end component.
Weaknesses:
Not really a weakness.. but has to be connected the way it is recommended to. Direct bass output from your amplifier will not give you any good result... read the installation guide. ;+)
Review:
I feel compelled to give this product 5 stars. Not because it is the best 5.1 surround system ever... but because I feel it is the best value for money. I bought this at a very good price (it was on sale!) and this is the best gift I ever made myself! It transformed an ordinary, Japanese components, un-impressive home-cinema, into a great sounding experience the whole family noticed from the get go! To think that most surround sound packages from Japanese electronics makers cost the same as this Polk kit! All those cheap kits now look like ripp-offs! Never buy the speakers that come with your amplifier! I thought my amplifier was crap... but only the speakers really were. If like me you feel that the speakers (supposedly) matching your amplifier sound somewhat weird, give this amazing little kit a try. It will transform your surround experience, bringing clear and precise sound to your living room that will make you enjoy your home-cinema experience that much more. And BTW, set your bass up like it is recommended in the installation guide. I thought I new better than to use a high-power signal to feed bass to my subwoofer... but this product (and its setup recommendation) was made by people who know what they are doing. I was a bit disapointed of this product at first... until I connected it like it should be. ;+)

Review:
Now that I have the HDTV and the PS3 Blu-Ray, I was in the market for a home theater system. My goal was to have a nice mid-range system that could handle all the a/v formats, but to keep the cost under $1,500. Thanks to this set of Polks and the Onkyo 606, I was able to do that for just under $900. I really stress the value of these speakers. (Their peer group costs twice as much.) I stress value, but I don't wish to detract from performance. I am not an audiophile, but to my un-precious ears these speakers sound really good. I live in a condo, so I don't need--or want--a booming system. My purpose isn't for music, but for movies and PS3 games. These speakers are exactly what I was looking for.

Extremely inconspicuous . Subwoofer @ 50watts is fine don't let the low power fool you. I use this in a large Basement Theatre and eveyone is thrilled with the output.
Weaknesses:
None , except too many friends want to come over to watch sports & movies now.
Review:
These are th envy of every "Home theatre in a box" owner. I added Polk M10 speakers up front L/R for my 7.1 Sony system. My range in Movie choices has increased due to the outstanding sound these speakers put out .

After much research for a 5.1 setup for our small apartment within my price range (under 300.00) I kept coming across this speaker set. Decided to pull the trigger when I found them at Fry's (several months ago) and it's easily been one of the best A/V purchases I've ever made. Matched these with a Denon AVR-888 receiver I got in the final days of Circuit City and was (still am) blown away by the end result. The soundstage that this setup provides is truly reference quality, especially after I let the Denon receiver calibrate the speakers with the Audyssey microphone. The surround field is truly immersive, especially with full HD content (Blu-ray PS3) and even Dolby 2.0 gets the gold star treatment via the rears and sub. In short, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially to those who are on a budget and want to get the most bang for their buck. Never bought a Polk product before in my life, but I'm a believer now. :) Also, I must recommend the Polk SA2 RM speaker stands for the front L and R. Looks great, sounds great, total consumer win on every level. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Weaknesses:
They Can't read in my mind to play the song that I want
Review:
AMAZING .. I got them for and they're just great. The sound quality is amazing even when you turn the volume up to the maximum and the subwoofer is really good for a 8 inch

Everything, from the easy setup, the almost unblowable voice coils, these speakers ROCK, and when watching a blu-ray with DTS my god i would rather be sitting here than in a movie theater, the sound is absolutely perfect.
Weaknesses:
The terminals could have been the screw type its hard to get the awesome monster cable xp silver in there you have to twist the wire and slide it in very carefully right in the middle or it wont fit, its 4 guage wire, wish it came with some DTS, Dolby Digital test disc to show off what these babys can do.
Review:
I used a Yamaha HTR-5930 , It works perfect with this setup, I got the all black speakers. I hooked it up with "Monster Cable XP with silver lining" on the back of my reciever it had only one output for the sub-woofer and in the instruction manual it says to use a rca y cable but I used a rca splitter and than ran 2 Optical cables to the sub, what a difference this made, since this is a ported sub i use the 180 degree setting the frequency all the way clockwise volume at half and I have turned this 110w yamaha reciever up almost all the way and I could barely stand it, it was so loud, so crisp, I dont care what anybody thinks about small sattilite speakers with a small 8 inch sub, I have a farely large house and it will rattle the rafters, the gutters outside, it is a truely amazing setup. any questions email me, amandel2@gmail.com

Great sound. Great price. Low profile.
Weaknesses:
Sub is a little weak. Sometimes dialog is lost by the center channel... wish it was a tad more powerful.
Review:
These sats seem to go against the advice that experts dish-out on various forums. They aren't made of wood or mdf. They are small. and they are true sats. Shudder all you purists!!! But guess what... these speakers are a killer hit. A bulls-eye by Polk! I have these speakers in a 7.1 set-up in a HT room that is roughly 11X14. I purchased an extra set of rear surrounds (the RM6751) that are available for individual sale. They are driven by an Elite vsx-21thx AVR. I would say that their sound is rather spectacular for the $. Can't really beat it. Originally, I had set them up with their original sub. My biggest complaint was that the R/L Fronts and the Center channel lacked some of the lower mid-range sounds... and that the sub wasn't strong enough to handle hard-hitting bass at higher volume levels. Occasionally it would bottom out and get muddy. So, I made some modifications. I dumped the sub and purchased a 10" Energy sub... it is wired to my amp via LFE and the X-over is set at 80. I then added two more subs (Polk Monitor 8" subs) that are wired to the front L/R sats and the center channel speaker level. Using the X-over on the rear of these subs, I have their cross overs set at 120. Essentially, all the whopping lows are sent by my receiver to the Energy sub... the other lower mids (the ones meant for the front L/R sats and the center channel) are handled by the twin Polk subs, respectively (both sub, since wired speaker level, then kick out their respective highs to the front L/R Sats and the center channel. I know this all appears odd... but the result is great. My front L/R sats now have the lows they missed... the voices coming from my center channel sound more deep and vibrant... and the Energy sub really kicks out the lows. REALLY kicks 'em out! This was the easiest way for me to keep the low profile of the sat speakers on the walls, while getting some more fullness. I'm always left wondering if I should just get larger L/R Sat speakers and a larger center channel... but the sound is just good enough that I'm content. Thanks Polk for having made such a great budget set of speakers.
