These speakers rock! I can only imagine how they would sound Bi-Amped.
Weaknesses:
Can't think of any.
Review:
Let me start by saying that I never would have even considered buying new speakers until My wife and bought a Panasonic 37" Plasma TV. Soon after buying the TV we realized that our new digital HD cable decoder was not compatable with our circa 1995 JVC Pro Logic receiver. It did not decode the digital audio properly. We then purchased a Yamaha HTR 5950 6.0 receiver. To my horror when I get it home I realize that there was no tape 2 in/out for the active EQ for our Bose 901s. After futher research I found that only very very expensive high end receivers even have tape 2 anymore. So...we decided to move the JVC and 901s to rec room. and buy new speakers for TV. Enter the RM8000T/RM50T. We bought speakers locally from Tweeter at at great price, but they had no floor models to sample. They came with a free Polk subwoofer that we put in rec room with 901s. We are using our 100 W MTX 12" downfiring sub with our new RM8000T/RM50Ts. Tonight we watched The Red Hot Chili Peppers Live in Milan MTV production on the DVR. We just saw them live last week so we cranksd it. Let me say that as much as I love the 901s, I was not in the least bit disapointed in the performance of these speakers. The highs were extremely clean, the mid range clear and undistorted and the awesome ported bass response blended seamlessly with the MTX sub. I think that we made a wise decision.

Superb build quality, very solid. Midrange clarity, transient response, high frequency reproduction is all flawless.
Weaknesses:
Absolutely none.

I picked up a set of these about 3 days ago, and I gotta say that these are the best speakers I have ever owned, and some of the best that I have ever heard. I have listened to some of the most expensive speakers that are currently produced, and these speakers hold their own, regardless of price.

Fantastic sound, very sturdy high-quality cases.
Weaknesses:
None.
Review:
Wow! I got these for a great closeout price at Tweeter. I use them as the front speakers for a home theater, along with matching RM101 rear speakers and an 8" Polk Audio sub. They sound fantastic under 5.1 surround movies. They reproduce sounds very clearly. They are the best speakers I have ever owned. They weigh a ton and don't move around or tip over on carpet.

It's a really nice speaker for both movies and listening to music.
Weaknesses:
Needs a subwoofer, but that is to be expected with 4" cones.
Review:
I purchased these speakers at Tweeter's going out of business sale. The price was so good, I bought two sets for a total of four. I replaced two sets of Bose floorstanding speakers (601s and 501s). The RM8000T/50Ts are far more sensitive, and deliver a crisp clean sound. They did need a sub for both video and music, and I added a Martin Logan Dynamo which did the job. These speakers are somewhat heavy but attractive but the sound is the real plus. My primary use is for music listening. They were a great buy in their price range. I also needed the tilt leg pegs and after showing the proof of purchase from an authorized dealer, the folks at Polk sent out the tilt leg pegs promptly.

Clarity of sound is amazing, even at higher volumes and can't hear any distortion at all.
Weaknesses:
Adding a sub woofer to these makes for an amazing audio experience!
Review:
These tower speakers are amazing. They have the best clarity and pureness of sound I have every heard in a consumer speaker thus far.
