out of this world bass !!!
Weaknesses:
the high's are a bit on the dry side.
Review:
great set of speakers. nice clear mid's and high's. Who would of guess, that an RT35 on top of a subwoofer system would make such a great speaker.

Tight bass. good sound with most material
Weaknesses:
Weak midrange, difficult placement.
Review:
When I choose material that is less busy, especially in the midrange area, it sounds smooth and articulate. Music that is sparse in production sound fine, maybe a little liight in the midrange. Once the midrange becomes busy, in particular with the drum rolls, in music such as Rush and The Who, the midrange seems to be almost inarticulate. Maybe, the load of frequency that is directed onto the 6" midwoofer is too much for the driver to handle. If you take the grill off, you will see the amount of travel the mid woofer takes in reproducing the material. Also, at higher volumes, this problem becomes more prominent. Maybe a second 6" driver will help the design. This may suggest the popularity of the RT800 over the RT1000. The bass at normal volumes is very tight and responsive, but at higher volumes also tend to lose articulation. The 50 watt amps might be the problem here. The imaging is okay but not superior. The highs also tend to be bit bright. Overall, a good speaker that has room to be better.

Powerful clean crisp sound. Rich bass, great mids, & clean highs.
Weaknesses:
weighs a ton!
Review:
I think the speakers sound perfect. If you are using the correct equipment to push them, you won't have any problems with highs, mids, or lows. I'm using Sony's STRDA555ES receiver & it allows you to adjust speaker settings whether equalizer sound or speaker placement. Every room is different & needs to be adjusted accordingly to get the most out of the speaker. This goes for any speaker system. My over all review is excellent. I especially like the individual subwoofer dial adjustment.
