Your quest for the perfect tower at a reasonable price is over. These towers will satisfy the casual listener or the audio enthusiast's need for high quality sound. These towers literally blow anything away with the addition of a awesome subwoofer like the PSW650.

In a word: Incredible. The RTi70's have amazing depth, balance and imaging. They throw an incredibly real soundstage, presenting vocals and instruments with stunning realism. For around $750 they are a steal.

Simply incredible. Exchanged my RT600i's for these and could not be happier. Just got the CSi40 and my front soundstage is absolutely seamless. Now if Crutchfield would just get those FXi50's in stock!

I was looking for a new pair of front speakers when I heard the rt600i, I almost bought them but I decided the new rti70, the decision couldn't have been better. My New rti70 is the best sound investment I have ever made. Incredible sound image, elegant view, natural mids and highs, detailed sound, deep bass... all in the same package

Let me begin by saying..."WOAH!" After searching for a good front speaker, the choice was easily the Polk RTi70. The voice reproduction is awesome, and the music just flows right out! We paired these with the CS400i for the front center, the f/x300i's for the surrounds, and the CS245i for the rear center for an awesome hhome theater system.

I was running a old pair of JBL's. Went and got thse with a pair of FX 50's for my rear CS 40 for the center and a Velodyne Sub. It has made me love music again. These speakers are great for AV and music. I hooked up a Denon 3802 with it and the music just shines. Definitly Bi-Wire them and bring out the true sound. These are great speakers

Awesome sound and nice workmanship on the cabinets.
Weaknesses:
Bass is nice and tight but you'll want a powered subwoofer to work with these speakers.
Review:
Using these with the CSi40 center channel speaker creating an awesome front soundstage. The cost benefit ratio of the RTi70's was right for me.

Great sound, outstanding looks (cherry) and a modest (considering the quality) price.
Weaknesses:
Given the price of these speakers, I can't find any.
Review:
I've had these speakers for a couple of months now. I bought them for a music only stereo system. They are coupled with a Harman Kardon 3470 stereo receiver and a Onkyo DXC380 changer. I first had the Polk R50's but returned them because I was not pleased with the sound. These speakers, on the other hand, really make the music come alive. The bass is strong and true and, as a result, I don't feel the need for a sub. The highs are outstanding and the midrange is well pronounced. I highly recomend these speakers. I do wonder though, since these sound so much better than the R50's, how much better would the RTi150's be? Perhaps I'll find out one day.

I actually work for a company that sells Polk Audio, and they are by far my first choice to show a customer, and once the customer hears them they usually don't want to hear any other brands so keep up the good work, and I'll keep selling them

Just installed a couple of weeks ago, and I could not be more pleased. After well over 15 years of having the little Polk 5Jr's up front, I moved them to the back of the room, and the new RTi70's took their place. Could not have made a better choice at this price range. Wow! What a sound.

Review:
I'd like to thank all who have recommmended these speakers because I purchased a pair of RTi 70's this week based on the strong reviews here and would in turn recommmend them highly. I don't upgrade audio equipment often...last time was 1990 and before that...1976. When one of my components from the '90 acquisition finally died 2 weeks ago , I decided to overhaul everything and move my beloved Monitor 5's to back. I've been so satisfied with the Monitor 5's after 13 years, I never really entertained getting another brand. I chose the the 70's after reading these reviews and did A-B with some others but there was no comparison in the price range. What joy music is with these speakers.

Woofer annoying vibrating sound if you up the bass too much.
Review:
These speakers have a great tight mid range and high range sound capability. However, if you put too muich bass through them you will definitly here the woofer vibrate. For this price though, you can't go wrong. These are polk's best all around speaker at this price.

I have had these sepakers for a year now and have played music, DVD & Playstion games through them. I'm amazed at thier clearity even at a flat level on the Audio settings. I have vaulted ceilings and tile floors in a 15x20 room and listening to Jazz or Blues is amazingly REAL! I close my eyes and imagine being right there center stage just me and the band...then I open my eyes to see those dark long sleek speakers.

Wow!! What a great set of speakers, I had been looking for a set of tower speakers to replace my old Cerwin Vegas. I had looked at everything from Boston Acoustic to Infinity and couldn't find what I was looking for. Then I found Polk, after hearing the RTi70's I was hooked. The sound is so clear I can close my eyes and it feels like I am actually at a live performance.

Weaknesses:
Wood veneer is veneer :-( Then again, press board has a better sonic structure. (or so I'm told).

Can't give 5 stars because, well, there MUST be better speakers somewhere. I got mine at Fry's, on sale, for $398 for the pair! Wow. I love them. Paired with my CSi30 center speaker and some Infinity US1 surrounds, my home theater rocks.

Good mid and top end.
Weaknesses:
Need a decent sub-woofer to get the low end, but I knew that when I bought them.
Review:
These speakers rock. I paid under $400 for the pair, which is excellent value for money. You need to invest in a sub-woofer to get the full range.

Has its own appeal in sound, slam, build quality, grills dont attract major amounts of dust, great speakers.
Weaknesses:
they sound slightly enclosed, and lack detail on the top end, but this sound overall has its own appeal. Overall is a great speaker for the money.
Review:
The RTi70, what to say about it? I must say that the highs are not the clearest. They are not the most detailed, or the smoothest, and they definetely are not the most laid back. So what are they? They are what they are. They are a silk dome, that holds a sligh blanket over its self. It makes it sound slightly compressed. However it still holds its own appeal. I personally find the older Tri-lam, brighter (in a good way) and more detailed. However they both are not smooth. The highs are incredible depth with a great outter soundstage, with an O.K center soundstage. The Midrange is sorda enclosed in comparison of the older line also. Although it offers a ton of slam, the vocals come in clear but at the same time slightly compressed. This sound also has it's own appeal. But nothing over demanding, as the clearness is much desired for my taste in sound. The bass of the RTi70 is punchy, and accurate. Slightly boomy at times, but that is why they have subwoofers now. The bass is what to be expected, but nothing to drool over. Overall I like the RTi70, however I use them in a stacked combo with the RT35i ran on two amps, which I feel works well together. The RTi70 is well worth the money and is one of the best Polk towers available. IMO. - SiD

Great sound!! I'm using these in a stereo system only in our new house. They sit unobtrusively against the wall and the real veneer is a nice touch.

Value. Looks. Good highs, excellent midrange.
Weaknesses:
I feel that these absolutely need to be paired with a good subwoofer.
Review:
I listened to many mini-towers and found these speakers to be an outstanding value. After pairing with the CSi40 & PSW650, I hear things in music that I did not know exist. The midrange performance from these is really good. They will sound overworked without a subwoofer.

Good Highs and Midrange. Good musical accuracy.
Weaknesses:
Insufficient bass without a subwooofer.
Review:
I purchased these speakers to replace the old JBL J90 speakers I have had for about 8 years now. These RTi70s sound vastly superior. The highs are clear and the midrange is warm and accurate. The bass produced by these speakers are a bit weak by themselves but a subwoofer will take care of this problem easily. Overall, a good value for the money.

These speakers have the perfect blend of highs and lows. They also have a great design and look really snazzy in my room.
Weaknesses:
Not a thing.
Review:
I just bought a pair of these speakers from my local Circuit City and WOW. I love these speakers they sound far better than any other speakers i have ever owned or purchased for family members. The highs are very rich and the lows are very powerful even without a subwoofer. Thanks to cc i got these speaker for around $260 a piece and they threw in $200 towars a sub so i got the PSW303 and when you add a sub to the already strong bass the speakers produce it is amazing what new elements you can hear in your music and movies. I am now a very strong Polk fan and recommend Polk products to anyone looking for good speakers for good prices.

I was stuck with the jbl sat70's for 4 years and this year I bought a new home theatre. These towers are just plain awesome. Coupled with my free 404 csi30 and two r20s (soon to be fxi30's) it just plain booms. My room is 12x15 and this system is just awesome. My Onkyo 601 pushes all of these beauties just grand. A+ to polk.

Review:
I had some hand built towers that sound like a tin can compared to these beauties. I looked around a lot for speakers and I liked this because they were perfect for my Yamaha HTR-5590 and my sound preferenct. I made sure several times over that these were great speakers by doing any and every test I could on them from test tones, to female voices to stereo encoded CD's and DTS DVD's. Amazing. The best part is just how amazing they sound. I have my cable TV routed through my reciever (so obviously horrible sound as compared to DVD etc) but I heard a wolf howl and looked around the room. I then realized it was these speakers.

Exellent midrange and highs, coupled with my PSB subsonic 3 sub woofer the transition from the lows to highs was smoooth. They've got to be one of the best deals in mine or anybodys town.
Weaknesses:
For the price there isn't any, more bottom end would be nice but what do you want for the cash.
Review:
I bought a pair of RTi70s for 420.00 Canadian a steal in my very humble opinion. Now I did some tests for fun and to see how much of a bargin I was getting. I used a McIntosh C28 preamp and a MC2205 amp for stereo, and a Pioneer vsx-d709s suround amp. Well with the McIntosh they were amazing, the imaging was great and my friend and I were both impressed how clean and efficient these babies were. With the pioneer my DVDs( both movie and concert) improved dramaticly. A bargin indeed! One very happy and future customer.

These speakers are breathtaking. Suitable for almost every type of music.
Weaknesses:
The "Polk Audio" logo is a little too small. :)
Review:
Im a home theater sales associate/audiophile for a large retailer in town. When these speakers came into our demo room they easily blew the competition away. Doing A/B comparisons, I noticed the vocals came right out and mids were unsurpassed. They were intially tagged around the $1000 mark and all the sales staff were taking them home. I managed to snag the last pair for $399.99. I've got them bi-amped with a Yamaha HTR-5650 and people complaining about the lows must be bass hogs. The frequency response is amazing. Overall, I don't think there is a better speaker out there for the price.

By far the greatest speakers I have ever heard. The sound quality for these speakers is unparalleled, even their newer models don't really compare. As a A/V worker at Circuit City I'm surprised I don't really see more of these things sell( I believe it must be the price tag). Outstanding Job Polk for making truly superior speakers.

Review:
As a reseller of mid to hi end audio for 15+ years I came in expecting nothing from these older RTi70's. After days of auditioning they grew on me with every listening. Since this time they have become my workhorse speakers in between the many systems that come and go in my living room due to sales. These replaced my Klipsch Forte I as they provide a more relaxing and natural sounding experience minus the ear fatigue. These couple VERY well with NAD and vintage Sansui components.
