Practically Invisible Speakers for Any Room, Any Budget
Large-scale custom installs, whether retrofitting a whole home with built-in speakers or adding built-in speakers to a whole new-build home project, are helped immeasurably by anything that helps keep the project on budget. These budget-conscious SC Series speakers are perfect for the job. They fit any application, from dining room to utility room, kitchen to guest bathroom, and deliver performance that’s good enough for the media room, too.
SC65 Features:
One-cut easy installation in existing walls or in new construction, for pros or DIYers alike, with no extra assembly and no additional cutting. (Pre-construction brackets are available separately.)
Polk’s exclusive Rotating Cam system ensures stable, secure, vibration-free placement with the turn of a screwdriver.
Polk’s proprietary, patented Dynamic Balance technology allows our engineers to design out distortion-causing driver and system resonances, so you only hear the good sounds.
Dynamic Balance silk dome tweeters, in aimable swivel housings, deliver clear and detailed highs, without fatigue, for greater accuracy and more realistic imaging.
Paintable grilles & flanges make SC Series speakers virtually invisible.
SC Series built-in speakers share cutout sizes and hardware components with other Polk built-in speaker series, so you can more easily upgrade your built-in speakers at any time.
Durable, moisture-resistant materials like stainless steel hardware and a powder-coated, rust-proof aluminum grille allow you to install SC Series built-in speakers in extreme install locations like kitchens, bathrooms, and transitional areas like sunrooms and covered porches.
The SC Series is timbre-matched to all other Polk loudspeakers, for mix-and-match system-building and seamless, speaker-to-speaker perfection.
The SC Series features three of the most advanced built-in loudspeakers you’ll find: A single compact built-in loudspeaker that brings actual dynamic stereo sound to locations where two speakers just won’t work; two high performance IP-ready loudspeakers, allowing whole-home audio networking on a budget for the very first time, and a high performance built-in center channel speaker!
All Polk products are made using the best materials and the most advanced manufacturing techniques. They pass the industry’s most exhaustive quality tests, including drop testing, extreme signal response and UV & salt exposure testing. Polk loudspeakers are built to perform for a lifetime.

Easy to install
Weaknesses:
Poor sound quality for the price.
Review:
All these other reviews must have been written by salesman or other employees of Polk Audio. These speakers are fair at best; listening to them for more then 10 minutes will drive you crazy. There is little to no bass, it’s all highs and mid-tones, and what ever bass there is, is muddy and has no depth. I use to be a big fan of Polk speakers and just bought 6 pairs of the SC-65’s, boy am I sorry. Save your money on these and look elsewhere.

audio performance
Weaknesses:
would prefer ceiling version but my room could not accomodate
Review:
I just got a new Panasonic TV for my family room and my wife wanted me to either use the internal tv speakers or have audio that was hidden as possible. I talked to an installer and he recommended these. All i can say is I am blown away byt the sound. Only issue is I would have preferred the ceiling version but could not use those due to the cathedral ceiling. (I have a pair of those in another room for background music). Using an onkyo receiver and Polk sub. My house is now game central for the neighborhoodfor football games, etc. love watching concert movie DVD's also.

size and tweeter orientation, clarity and vocals and dialogue scenes.
Weaknesses:
unfortunately emphatizing high frequencies and the low frecuencies could be better
Review:
Well, I've had a pair of sc65 and I think that its sound is great. The sound look very well and clear, the dialogue is very clear and focusing. Depend on the sound equipment low frecuencies can be variable, but its good. I probe with stereo car and the yamaha amplifier and i like it so much. Be careful with the installation and the prepare de wall with the good materials, it is very important that.
