Amazingly strong bass in a relatively small unit.
Love it! This sub booms! Got this a year ago for my boyfriend's birthday. After reading many reviews about the inability to get real bass outside we can't believe how strong the sound is from our little Sub10. We paired it with the Sat30s and can hear clearly when we are on our dock 200 yards away! We live in northern Michigan, left it out all winter and it is still booming now that the sun has heated things up... thank you!

Nice bass for an unpowered subwoofer. Ready to take on the elements. Sounds good.
None really, does it's job, but as a passive subwoofer, you have to turn up the volume a bit to get to kick in.
I have a pair of Atrium 6's but wanted some more bass. I finally got the Sub10 when it was in Polk's Ebay store refurbished for $100 off. A great deal, only $200, including shipping. Easy to hook up, I set it up to my B speakers outputs on my receiver. Ran some CL3 wire and was ready to go. I was worried that with it's crossover set at 150hz it could be localized. Running by itself you could hear some voices coming through. My plan B was to use some passive crossovers with it if needed. At first it wasn't kicking it without a lot of volume. A simple adjustment of turning up the bass dial made it kick in earlier and match the speakers. My Sub10 is located underneath one of the Atrium 6's, in a corner under an ease on my deck. Between the two you can't tell the Sub10 is providing some of the voice. So, no additional crossovers needed. It sits in the corner and thumps away as needed. So far it has done good from jazz to top 100 hits, and sounds good with both. Great to have some bass outside. I used quick connects with mine in a small weather box. This way during the winter I can just disconnect the wires and store it in an enclosed area. For my purposes, I also got the grille add on. Don't see why it doesn't come with it between little critters, dirt, leaves etc. It was easy to put on. Even though the website says they are unavailable, when I called Polk about when they might be in, they said they were in and I ordered one. So, call and they may have them. Overall, a great weatherized outdoor sub. I think being powered by my B speaker helps. Sounds good, has a way to secure it with screws, or a cable. Even though meant for use with the match Atrium speakers, I think it sounds great with my Atrium 6's.
