Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loud and zero distortion. Nice and loud. Very clean dialogue with zero distortion. Well built, it has some weight to it. Not too much but I was a little surprised at how solid the feel of this center channel is. I would definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best sounding center I have heard. This is the best sounding center I have heard. This in combination with XT15 bookshelfs in a 5.1 and a little equalization often makes me pause whatever I am watching to make sure what I am hearing is being played over my speakers. These are by far the best sounding speakers for the money on the market.

Questions

I am confused by this "Atmos compatible". I have a Denon AVR-S570BT receiver with Fluance Signature left/right speakers. Could I use the Polk xt-35 center speaker with that system? I have limited space and the low profile is desirable.

Hello, Atmos Compatible means it can be used for a system that is built to playback Dolby Atmos mixed films or music. Otherwise the Polk XT-35 is a center channel speaker that can be used in any setup and would work just fine for your use case.

Would a sub still be required with this center speaker?

Hello, A subwoofer is dedicated for low end effects and lower bass frequencies. A Center Channel Speaker is dedicated to the center channel in a film, music, or TV mix and will mainly be focused on dialogue. For a more rounded sound experience, we would still recommend adding a subwoofer like our Monitor XT12 which is matched for this series https://www.polkaudio.com/en-us/product/home-speakers/subwoofers/monitor-xt12/300414.html

I have a 6 Ohm amp, 100watts per channel. Will that work with this as my center? Or will the fact that this is a 4 ohm speaker cause issues - either damaging the amp or not producing the quality sound the speaker is designed for?

Hello, your amplifier, as described, should pair nicely with the Polk Audio XT35 center channel speaker. The XT35 is designed to pair with 4–8-ohm amplifiers, and the recommended amplifier power is from 25-200 watts. At 87dB sensitivity, the speaker does not require gobs of power to perform at its maximum potential.

What will be the best crossover frequency to set on my AV Receiver for the Polk Monitor XT35? Thanks in advance!

Hello, as a good starting point, I recommend setting the XT35 center speaker to small at 80Hz. 80-100Hz is typical. The final crossover point will depend on the room and associated equipment.

This page says it is compatible with 4 ohm and 8 ohm amps but the instruction manual says the speakers are 4 ohm. Will this damage my 8 ohm amp?
