At Polk, we believe that audio isn’t meant to just be heard, it’s meant to be experienced. We create innovative technologies that elevate the listening experience for families, music enthusiasts, and everyone in between.
From college friends in a Baltimore garage
In 1972, Polk Audio started producing high-quality, affordable speakers designed for home use, with a goal of competing with more established audio companies.
To a half-century of groundbreaking sound innovation & engineering
Today, through exhaustive engineering and obsessive experimentation, we produce a broad range of elite audio technologies and products designed to be enjoyed by anyone.
We Believe everyone deserves AN incredible audio experience
We donate 5% of all purchases to Sound Start, an organization that donates instruments worldwide to help youth access music education & experience musical self-expression.

“Whenever you're designing a piece of audio gear, you're reproducing a signal… To some degree it will always be an interpretation. Polk Audio, I'm happy to say, still delivers an interpretation that brings joy and involvement to our customers’ listening experience”
