Marine Certified

The DB+ Series is IP56 rated so they are dirt- and water-resistant. They also have been tested for salt-fog, UV and humidity. A big part of that marine certification also means that each speaker has a non-corrosive plastic grille, a polypropylene UV tolerant cone, waterproof inner and outer surrounds, and stainless steel mounting hardware, ensuring that they are fully protected against the elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value Amazing Sound I ordered these along with a pair of Polk Audio Db522 (5.25”) speakers. I am a Polk customer for home audio, so when my Harley-Davidson Touring bike needed an upgrade, Polk was on my list. Overall, these speakers sound great! Factory H-D stereos use Harman/Kardon components, so the bar was set high for sound. These 6.5” are loud, clear, and punchy. Obviously bass is going to be minimal from a 2-way speaker like this, but overall, the low-end performance is really solid. The power that these speakers can handle is impressive. Because these are marine grade, they were an obvious choice for a motorcycle, and I am not at all disappointed by their performance. If you are on the fence with these or Db series, rest assured you’re buying a quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very nice speakers Bought these to replace old speakers. paired with alpine S-A32F 4 channel amp( it roasted the junkoneers I had) JL Audio Slash v2 Series 1000/1v2, 2JBL 12 inch subwoofer W12GTi they sound clean and strong, think I'm check out some polk tweets

Questions

I'm not completely positive that the RMS value of 100 watts is individual rating or for the pair, making them each 50 watt RMS. I purchased an amp that drives 75 watts rms and I don't want to blow these.

Hello, This is the individual rating, they can handle a peak of 300 watts but not for a continuous time. Your amp will be safe to use to drive these speaker if it is rated at 75 watts.

Can I use these in a Nissan alt sl 2016

What is the minimum power required to drive the db652 speakers effectively? I'm not worried about how much they CAN handle, just how much they NEED for good sound. Will be using the factory head unit in 2016 Camry (basic stereo, not the JBL system).

Hello, the Polk Audio DB652 has a power handling rating of 100 Watts. They will be OK with a factory-installed higher power head unit. The sensitivity is rated at 92 dB, making them relatively easy to drive.
