Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Are you kidding me? These speakers are one of the BEST in ceiling speakers I have ever experienced. Even at a low setting, powered by a weakling audio receiver, I am getting nice bass and beautiful sound. Everyone who has come into my home has said that the sound is amazing and the directional tweeter really helps to direct sound to where you want it. Easy to install! There's something to be said when money is well spent on quality speakers that deliver as promised.

Questions

Is the MC60 suitable for outdoor installation? I have in ground speaker boxes (Paramount Outdoor Speaker) that accommodate a speaker that has an 8" outside diameter. What is the precise measurement of the speaker without the ceiling mounting bracket ?

Asked by: zbudman
Hello, The MC60 is designed to be used inside your home. It is not able to withstand the elements and therefore it is not recommended to be used outside.

I have purchased a home with two PolkAudio 8" ceiling speakers.  I would like to look at them to determine what I have but I do not see how to lower the face to evaluate.  Can you help me figure out how to remove the cover?

Asked by: chip
The grill must be removed first. Using a tool (Similar to a paper clip), carefully remove the grill. Removing the grill will expose four screws. Loosening all four screws/clamps will allow the removal of the in-ceiling speaker. YouTube videos can be found online and recommended before removal. Please see the attached link for further assistance. https://www.polkaudio.com/-/media/files/documentmaster/polk-us/diy_inceiling_inwall_installation_guide.pdf

Is it Bluetooth compatible?

Asked by: Damario
Hi Damario, The MC60 is a passive speaker, and therefore requires an amplifier to provide the power to drive it. It does not have bluetooth built-in.
