Questions

Can these be installed in the ceiling of an outdoor covered patio? They would not be directly exposed to the elements but would see extreme temperatures in the summer and winter.

Hello, These are not built to handle extreme temperature changes and we would not advise that you use these speakers anywhere outdoors. You can check out our outdoor speaker lines for options that will handle the temperature changes as well as the elements.

i know that they are "in-ceiling", but can they be installed in a wall?

Hello, these are not recommended to be installed into a wall as these are designed to have the tweeter pointed towards the listening position from the ceiling rather than a wall. Installing these into a wall may not provide the best sound experience as intended.

Is there a specific Polk audio subwoofer that is timber matched to the RT line of in-wall speakers?

Hello, any of our powered subwoofers will pair with our In-Wall/In/Ceiling speakers. It is recommended to match the subwoofer to the size of your room. For example, consider the HTS 12 for larger rooms and the HTS 10 for medium to small rooms.

Where is the best rotation for the speaker. Should the tweeter point towards the listener or away?  Or does it matter at all? I have 4 in the ceiling and want to point the tweeter towards the couch area but wanted to know if there’s a preferred direction

Hello, room dimensions and room acoustics will play a significant role. Time alignment will have a slight effect on the speaker's tonality. Tweeter positioned closer and aimed toward the seated position is often preferred. This will provide a more detailed and directional sound.

Is good idea connect four 70-RT to Pyle PWA15BT

Being part of the same RT series, the 70-RT and 265-RT speakers will blend very well. The acoustics may differ when installed in a ceiling, but the speakers are timber matched.
