Marine Certified

The DB+ Series is IP56 rated so they are dirt- and water-resistant. They also have been tested for salt-fog, UV and humidity. A big part of that marine certification also means that each speaker has a non-corrosive plastic grille, a polypropylene UV tolerant cone, waterproof inner and outer surrounds, and stainless steel mounting hardware, ensuring that they are fully protected against the elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super clear audio and incredibly easy installation I love how these sound, it makes voices project very well and music notes extremely vibrant. In the box, it comes with 6 extra pairs of wire with adaptors that makes it effortless to strip the wire in your door and cramp on the new wire. Tweeters were the same. Although when I first used them the crackled and popped really badly, I hope that will go away once they are broken in more. Installed in a 2006 Subaru wrx.

Questions

Does the crackling go away after I break them in? I installed these last night and the first couple of songs I played sounded awful, everytime the bass would hit a little bit it would pop and crackle, aswell as when I turn it down it likes to crackle.

I would run any speaker like this with a sub. I have these in front and back then a sub in the trunk. Sounds good but I’m not pushing much bass from the actual speaker. I also run them with a JL audio amp and not off the head unit. You want to make sure you are using high quality components and it’s done well. Hope this helps.
