Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polk delivers again I did a lot of research because I'm a sound quality pro and finally decided to find a set of (specifically) these, even used they can be a little pricey. They sound great! Crisp and clear at low or high volume, they seemed a little muddy at first but some eq adjusting and a few hours of playing a little loud and the loosened up and are now very clean. Hearing the musicians breath is a little annoying at times but that's how sensitive these speakers are. The footprint is small but tall and that's ok too as they're attractive to look at when the covers are off. Buy a set, you won't be disappointed. If you are.. then it's you.

Are replacement drivers available? One or two of the 5.25”’drivers buzz and certain frequencies, very annoying.

Are the monitor 60 in sealed or ported enclosure?

Hello, the Polk Audio Monitor 60 Series II speakers are ported. The Port is located towards the bottom front of the speaker. A front-facing port allows for greater flexibility in speaker placement. The speaker can be placed closer to the front wall than a speaker with a rear-facing port.

Are the still powered towers the amp in mine don't work any more

Hello, Polk Audio offers passive floor-standing speakers. Our lineup does not have Powered or Active floor-standing speakers. We do offer separate powered subwoofers. A separate powered subwoofer has its advantages allowing for more flexibility for subwoofer placement.
