I Have a Yamaha AV Receiver RX-V771 (7.2), with pair of Tsi200 bookshelf speakers. Will this sub pair with this equipment/Speakers?

Asked by: TonyRead
Yes, the Polk Audio XT12 powered subwoofer will pair nicely with your system. When connecting the XT12 to your receiver, use an RCA connection from the receiver's Subwoofer 1 output to the XT12 subwoofers L/LFE input.

I have just unboxed my polk monitor xt12 and have a subwoofer cable. what do I need to do to connect to my denon ave s970-h ? the instructions talk about a y adapter and I am confused

Asked by: shawnhome123
Hello, and thank you for your purchase. The Y adapter is an optional accessory and unnecessary when connecting to the Denon AVR-S970H. Using an RCA subwoofer cable, connect one end to the Denon Subwoofer 1 output and connect the other end to the Line in L/LFE input on the Polk Audio XT12 subwoofer. Set the phase to 0, Low Pass to Max, and Volume to 12 o'clock (50% volume). I recommend using the Auto calibration setup within the receiver called Audyssey. To connect an old school receiver without sub out is it better to route speaker wires first to xt12 then out of sub to main passive speakers or utilize combined speaker A and B option on receiver by running speaker wire to mains on "A" and sub on "B"?

Asked by: MOJOWORKIN
Hello, Both configurations will work well, but I suggest favoring Speaker A feeding the front left and right speakers, and Speaker B feeding the XT12 sub-woofer for the best performance.

My subwoofer began a thumping sound with only the power attached. Have tried different power outlets w/o success. Any suggestions appreciated.
