Questions

What is the typical range for the Bluetooth connection? I’m trying to play from my phone one room away, line of sight, and I’m getting continuous break up and bad connection.

Asked by: Bluetooth issue
Hello, There can be various reasons as to why bluetooth signal is not strong. Usually it is around 30 feet in range for most bluetooth devices but can vary from signal source to source. Other factors include, line of sight, other wireless signals in the area like Wifi creating interference, and the bluetooth protocol used by the signal source. There may be something that is causing interference that causes these dropouts and bad connection from the other room.

Is there a fix for the decoding bit-stream/pass-through signals issue. It will play well for a period of time; however, when the content changes the sound will be muffled. This happens primarily on streaming apps on a smart TV--I have two Signa S2 bars.

Asked by: RichL
Hello, To help determine if this is a CEC issue between the TV to the Sound bar, please try an optical connection if you are not already. If it is on optical now, try using an HDMI cable to reestablish the connection to the TV via ARC. You can even try swapping HDMI cables to see if perhaps the cable was the issue. How do I connect your Polk sound bar to my Blu-ray player? It’s a Sony and it does not have an optical out only HDMI.

Asked by: Grandview Islander
Hello, If you TV offers HDMI ARC then you would connect the soundbar to that port and connect your blu-ray player to another HDMI port on the TV, the TV would then handle the audio transfer to the soundbar so you can enjoy your blu-ray discs with ease.
