Is this system expandable with satellite speakers for 5.1

Hello, the Polk Audio SR2 wireless speakers are compatible with our Polk React, MagniFi 2, MagniFi Mini AX, and MagniFi Max AX. The S4 is not compatible with wireless rear speakers.

Why does the sound suddenly cease and to restart it I have to turn it off which also includes tv lgs2 and then turn it on again

Hello, This may be caused by a few things, first I would check the TV settings to make sure everything is properly setup to work with HDMI ARC. Then swap the HDMI cable with a Certified High Speed cable by a company like AudioQuest. If neither of those work, then please contact our customer care team 800-377-7655 (Product Support)

Is it good to use HDMI or Optical cable for best quality sound ?

Hello, HDMI ARC will provide the best sound over Optical as well as allowing for more features to be accessible via ARC. Just be sure that your TV supports HDMI ARC.

My tv is hooked to my soundbar using the ARC hdmi port. My Roku 4k device and blu ray player are hooked into the soundbars extra hdmi ports. Since the S4 only has one hdmi port, will it matter if everything else is plugged directly into the tv?

The bass is very minimal in signa S4. Is there any way to get it to play a fuller and deeper sound with more volume? I did get the soundbar to work on my computer using the optical port. incident number; 240301-000042

I have done what you said to enhance the bass. I have turned the software equalization up. I have pushed the bass button. There is very little volume to the bass response. That sub woofer puts out almost no sound. It is in a corner and nothing improved.

If the soundbar is sitting flat on a stand, what angle are the up-firing speakers pointing with respect to straight upward?

I’m interested in the Signa 4 but am curious whether I could pt the sound bar in a shelf that is only 6” high and how that will affect the atmos up-firing drivers sound. I can put it right up to the edge would that give the drivers enough of an angle to ?

Hello, and thank you for your interest in our S4 Soundbar. Yes, I believe you have the correct approach to successfully placing the S4 soundbar on a shelf while maximizing the up-firing Atmos speakers. Yes, the Atmos effect is best when placed on an open shelf, but pulling the Bar forward with a 6" clearance and a slight angle forward should prove successful.

Can Polk S4 be mounted on bottom of TV?

Hello Kingsport, yes, the Polk Audio S4 Soundbar can be mounted to the bottom of a Television using a third-party soundbar mount. However, it is important not to cover the up-firing Atmos speakers as this will prevent the soundbar from providing an Atmos effect. Some soundbar mounts allow the soundbar to be placed forward of the Television, allowing you to mount the soundbar to the TV while not losing the Atmos effect. Please consult with your local AV store for soundbar mount options.
