Balanced cinematic sound

Ready for your amplifier or receiver.

Ready for your amplifier or receiver.

A common shortcoming of conventional satellite and elevation speakers is thin sound. We take your home theater experience seriously and have put the same Polk patented Power Port bass enhancing technology in the ES10 that you will find in Signature Elite’s top-of-the-line SE60 floor-standing tower loudspeakers. Now in movies, when rockets fly overhead or special effects swirl around the room, you’ll not only hear it, but feel it too.

Built for Pure Sound

A strong, rigid and acoustically inert enclosure built with critically damped Medite MDF reduces unwanted internal standing waves and resonances for less coloration and distortion of your sound.

The ES10's anti-diffraction, magnetic grille minimizes sonic interference and can be easily removed to provide a striking look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ES10's as my front left and right I recently retired my 25 year old polk surround bar. I never really liked how it sounded when listening to music. For theater surround it was great however. I do have a PSW 111 sub woofer and was trying to decide between the ES15 and ES10 as front speakers. I went with the ES10 and they sound great with the sub woofer. I set my crossover in the receiver to 90hz so i don't need the low base coming from them. The sound stage is excellent as is the imaging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small price, big sound Great craftsmanship, the quality and sound that I was looking for in a surround sound speaker , is exactly what I expected. Right price, my Christmas present to myself, it's been over 26 yrs with the same aging old pair and now was the time for me to enjoy!

Questions

Hello, I'd like to know what the sensibility of this ES10 speaker is. In the owner's manual it says 84dB, but on this website it's 87dB. I'm curious what's right.

Asked by: Brano
Hello, Sorry for the confusion, the correct sensitivity is 84dB as listed in the manual.

Hi, I am looking to get a pair of passive speakers for my Yamaha R-N303 in a small to midsize living room. Size is a factor to fit on the TV table. Is ES10 is an option for front speaker and in comp with ES15 how is ES10 (no extra center, sub or surround)

Asked by: Sherv
Hello, The ES10 measures in at Depth 6.1" (15.5 cm) Height 8.4" (21.3 cm) Width 5.4" (13.7 cm) While the ES15 measures in at Height 12" (30.48 cm) Width 7.5" (19.1 cm) Depth 10.2" (25.9 cm) and is nearly double the size of the ES10. Ultimately you would want speaker stands for either one to isolate them well so they have better positioning and sound, especially with the ES15s as they are larger and benefit from being able to be positioned according to your listening position.

What's the -3 dB frequency response ratings for these? The overall frequency response rating is 75 Hz → 40,000 Hz. However, this speaker won't actually play that in real world settings. Need to know -3dB ratings so I can adjust my AVR crossover settings.

Asked by: Steeeeeeve
Hello, The window is +/- 3 dB handles up to 100 watts frequency response: 78-40,000 Hz sensitivity: 87 dB

I have a small home theater room with an Onkyo receiver, Polk center channel, and Boston Accoustic Sub.  Currently using 4 BA satellites mounted in the corners and pointed to the couch as my main speakers.  Would like to upgrade them. Would these work?

Asked by: TexasPolkFan
Hello, These would be a great upgrade to your system, there is something to note, when positioning speakers into corners there may be some auditory phenomenon that can occur that would make it less than ideal for listening. These links below will explain room acoustics as well as another link to Dolby's recommendations for speaker placement to optimize your room for a better listening experience. https://www.dolby.com/about/support/guide/speaker-setup-guides/ https://www.audioholics.com/room-acoustics/listening-room-acoustics

Would these speakers be compatible to use as corner speakers for my POLK Signa S4 sound bar system? Or would the SR2 be better suited for this?

Asked by: GOBLUE
These speakers require an amp to work as they are passive speakers and will not work with a sound bar. Unfortunately the Signa S4 is not designed to work with wireless surround speakers and there is no option for adding speakers to the sound bar.

Will these speakers hook up wirelessly to my LG smart TV without having to purchase any other equipment?

Asked by: Craig1968
Hello, these are passive speakers that require an amp or receiver to be powered. If you are looking for wireless options, a sound bar would be the better option as those are designed to work without an amp or receiver. Some options such as our MagniFi Max AX SR also have wireless surround speakers to give you a better surround sound experience.

If these speakers are wall mounted on a pivotal wall mount, so not flush, is there a reason they shouldn't be turned horizontal?

Asked by: Tiredofresearch
Hello, You can certainly turn the speakers horizontally, there should be no issue with the sound if done so. Just note it is usually best to try and get the speakers at ear level for a better soundstage and imaging.

We would like to mount these from our ceiling. What quality ceiling mounts are recommended since these shouldn't be mounted horizontal?

Asked by: Tiredofresearch
Hello, These speakers come with a Keyhole slot & 1/4"-20 threaded insert. For ceiling mounting, we would recommend that you seek a mount that can hold at least 6 pounds and has that size threading to mount the speaker securely to. The keyhole slot would only be advised for a wall mounting solution as in a ceiling mount, there is the possibility it can move over time and fall. The threaded mount will hold the speaker more securely.
