Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them at the 1 week mark My review is based on the speakers only being in service for one week. So far, they are wonderful! They are connected to our Control4 audio system, providing great music while we enjoy sitting and playing in our backyard. Even our neighbors enjoy it! Located on my outside patio, under our screened porch, they will only be subjected to ambient outside temperature and humidity. No direct rain or sunlight. We are hopeful they will provide us many years of quality sound!

What type of speaker wire should I use for the Atrium 5 speakers?

Hello, if placing the speaker outdoors, we recommend using 14-16 gauge outdoor-rated speaker wire. 14 gauge is recommended if the wire run is 100 ft or greater.

Do I need additonal equipment to connect them? Can they be paired with another set of Polk outdoor Atrium 5 speakers?

Hello, the Polk Audio Atrium 5 outdoor speakers are passive and require an amplifier or AV receiver. A Speaker wire connection is also required.
