Hello, All Stereo Mode becomes available when the Polk Audio MagniFi Max AX or MagniFi Mini AX are paired with the SR2 wireless speakers—press SOUND on the remote to cycle through the available sound modes until you see All Stereo Mode. Will these communicate directly with a bluetooth receiver?  Also, do they connect via an umbilical or do they function independently requiring only power?

Hello, The SR-2 wireless surround speakers only work with specific Polk Audio Soundbars; Polk MagniFi 2, MagniFi Mini AX, MagniFii Max AX, and Polk React. They are not designed to work with any AV Receivers. The SR-2 wireless speakers require only a power cable to the wall. The communication with the compatible Soundbars is radio frequncy. As a technology - because of it's limited bandwidth - Bluetooth only really lends itself to audio-only sources. Sync issues can occur with video sources when using Bluetooth.

Can these be used like other wifI speakers, without the soundbars? If can they work in groups?

Hello, the Polk Audio SR2 wireless speakers are compatible with the Polk React, Polk MagniFi Mini AX, MagniFi Max AX, and MagniFi 2 soundbars. They will not function without being paired with one of these soundbars.

I see that there is a keyhole cutout on the back of the unit to attach to a wall, but is it possible to mount these on a small stand? Is that what the threaded brass insert is for?

Hello, a Keyhole and a Threaded insert are provided on the back of the SR2 speaker. The Threaded insert may be used for wall mounting using a wall bracket or securing it to a satellite speaker stand.
