Send audio from smart TV built-in apps and sources connected directly to the TV to the Signa S2 via a single HDMI cable. Also allows for control of the Signa S2 volume via the TV remote control (requires CEC enabled TV).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from POLK Signa S2 Purchase and User Experience POLK decided to put the Signa S2 soundbar with sub up for sale at a very reasonable price and I could not resist. Have been looking at this unit for a while and the price drop made it irresistible. I searched all over the net to find a better price, even through my local Best Buy store...the price was the same and online, POLK had stock. No one else did. I purchased in $CDN through their .ca website though I later found that the item would be shipped from southern California. Shipping was CRAZY FAST!! So fast I didn't have time to install it right away as was expecting to wait. The package is perfectly shaped for the item and has a carry handle that is perfectly balanced and makes the unit feel light. Took a few minutes to get into it...the soundbar and sub woofer unit were soundly (!) packaged and were removed from packing in perfect condition. All the cables I could ever need were supplied with the unit and hook up to our TV was simple as connecting an HDMI cable to the YELLOW ARC slot and an optical digital feed. Other reviewers said the connection to the sub was immediate...it was and I loved being able to use the advanced sound right away. Once the connections are made, the TV controller controls the sound bar and sub woofer through digital software and that made operation seamless and perfect. Really enjoy the ability to bring the voice forward so that bass heavy soundtracks can still be understood. Also, have used the night mode so that sensitive ears elsewhere in the house are spared the bass effect. As a buyer, I would recommend the purchase of this medium soundbar/sub woofer system. It was purchased for the bedroom and it's capabilities work perfectly there. Purchase and enjoy your own POLK Signa S2!!

Questions

Can I connect my blue tooth ear buds to The system so I don’t disturb any one at night.  If so please simple instructions. I see on the remote Aux and another button with a symbol beside the aux   Thanks

Hello, Unfortunately the soundbar only have a BT receiver and not a transmitter to relay the sound from the soundbar to ear buds. You can try getting a BT Transmitter to connect directly to you TV for this situation.

Can the Signa S2 be programmed to accept commands from an LG TV remote?

Hello, While the remote for the Signa S2 is not programmable, it can operate the TV volume of a CEC (HDMI Control) enabled TV.

The Polk Signa S2 has an aux button top. When do you use it. Also when changing volume up or down it adjusts 3 volume levels at a time on the supplied remote as well as my tv remote. Can this be changed so it only adjusts one level at a time.

The Polk Audio S2 Soundbar comes with three inputs plus Bluetooth. • HDMI (ARC) • Toslink Optical • Analog 3.5mm Mini-Jack (AUX) The Analog 3.5mm input (AUX) can receive signals from a TV that may not have HDMI ARC or an Optical output. Smartphones and other devices with 3.5mm or Analog outputs may also be connected to the AUX input. RCA to 3.5mm adapters may be required.
