Any ideas why my PSW111 makes random noises - a quiet heartbeat, or random static, or LF buzz - even when there is no line in signal?

Nevermind, I think I found the answer elsewhere, many places. Makes one think that, if this is such a widespread problem, Polk Audio would have offered a free fix or replacement.

The Polk Audio PSW-111 has its own dedicated 300-watt amplifier built-in. Audio inputs provided are LFE or Speaker level inputs. The subwoofer is unaffected by the connected AV receiver's impedance, as the sub only requires a signal.
