Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big little center channel Using with Polk 265-LS in-walls for left and right. I didn't want to go in-wall for the center but I wanted to stick with Polk. The R300 is a great balanced product. Well made. Accurate and detailed sound at all volumes. Not harsh at all when pushed higher. A competitor's center with similar specs was going to be massive. I didn't want a giant center channel speaker being a focal point but I wanted to make sure the sound was big enough and the R300 is. Stage & dispersion is very good. With some center channels it's obvious the sound is blaring right from the center speaker but not with this one. Good purchase.

Can three of these be mounted vertically behind an AT screen for an LCR setup?

Hello, the R300 is designed and best suited for center channel applications. May I suggest using the R300 as a center channel and a pair of R200 Bookshelf speakers as the Right and Left channels.

Would the R300 pair well with a home theater consisting of Polk S60 fronts and S20 surrounds? I'm looking at replacing my S35 center with an ES30, but noticed how much the R300 was on sale.

Hi Knottian, The R300 should prove to be a worthwhile upgrade over your S35 center channel. It will pair nicely with your S60 fronts, and I believe you will enjoy the extra dialog clarity and the overall sonic rewards it brings.
