Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality and performance at this price...go for it. I bought these speakers to use for music in a stereo system, no home theater. These Signature Elite ES60s are amazing. They reproduce the mids and highs so clearly and spaciously, with accuracy and depth, but what is even more remarkable is the bass capability. I'm kind of an old-school stereophile, and generally adhered to the philosophy that in order to obtain truly deep and truly strong bass, you had to have huge cones, period. Whatever magic Polk has done with the combination of the drivers, the cabinet and the power port, it works spectacularly...prodigious bass, even without being augmented by turning up the bass control, utilizing the loudness feature or the "Dynanic Bass Expander" feature found on my very powerful and heavy top-of-the-line Onkyo TX-108 from 1988. I won't speak for a HT setup, but I can say that for music you will not require a subwoofer if you own a pair of these. I sit and listen to various types of music, and shake my head at just how superb the sound quality is that I'm experiencing from these gems, no bi-amping or bi-wiring. For this kind of sonic superiority at this price, it's a no-brainer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sound Great I bought the ES60's a couple of months ago and am pushing them with a Schiit Audio Freya tube preamp and two Schiit Vidar class A/B amps as mono blocks. The speakers sound really good in a balanced system using XLR cables and for the money these speakers are an excellent value.

I have a Yamaha A-801s amp. Will bi-wiring the ES60 speakers open them up for over all better sound?

Asked by: Megamike
In most cases, yes, I encourage an A/B test to confirm, as results will sometimes vary depending on the speaker wire used.

I am considering purchasing the ES60's to work with a Marantz receiver for both 2-channel audio as well as with Dolby Atmos for movies. My question is are the XT90 Atmos speakers compatible to work with the ES60's?

Asked by: Bill212
Yes, both the XT90 and R900 Height speakers are compatible with the ES60 speakers.

recommended Amp power stated 20 - 300 watts , is this at 4 ohms or 8 ohms . I have mono blocks rated 300 At 8ohms , 600 at 4ohms ?

Asked by: robert874
The Polk Audio ES60 speakers are compatible with 4 or 8-ohm amplifiers. Like most speakers, the ES60 will draw 4-ohms when pushed hard and only draw 8-ohms when pushed light. This will fluctuate during playback, and your current amplifier looks to be up to the task.

Hello - I am trying to determine the best way to connect the ES60 speakers and PSW10 subwoofer to a Denon DRA800H. Should I remove the shorting bars and use both A and B speaker outputs and also simply connect the sub to the preout? Is there a better way?

Asked by: Turkldo
I recommend connecting speaker A to the speakers and the Subwoofer Pre-Out to the PSW10. Using only speaker A, leave the ES60 speaker jumpers in place unless using Bi-Wire cabling.

Hello what would be a great 3 channel amp to power the ES60s, ES35 ?

Asked by: Chipper10
Hello, there are a lot of wonderful amplifiers to choose from. The Polk Audio ES speaker line is relatively easy to drive, opening up many amplifier options. May I suggest Denon or Marantz, as they make for a fantastic pairing with our speakers.
