Reserve R600

Highly disappointed in the Polk Audio answer posted. Those are the dimensions from the website literature for the R600 including the feet. I would like to know the actual cabinet width and depth, to determine if this will fit in my room after pulling them far enough away from the walls and out of the corners.

You are correct, there is speculation about this. The specs, according to Polk, states it is a 2-way speaker. It lists the speaker having only one crossover point - at 2700 HZ (or 2.7Khz) - meaning the lower drivers will not play above this line. It is a "high-pass" filter, limiting signals from 2.7Khz and up to go only to the tweeter. Polk does not list a Mid-range / Mid-bass crossover frequency. Meaning both lower drivers (of the same size) should play the exact same signal from 2.7 Khz and down. But many of us suspect it is a 2 1/2-way speaker - which limits one of the two bass drivers differently. For example, it could make the middle driver play from 2.7 Khz to as low as it can, but make the lowest driver only play from 300Hz - 400Hz and down. So essentially, one woofer for midrange and bass, and one for bass only. So, there would indeed be another crossover point involved, however, the middle driver would not carry a low-pass filter (once again, it's playing midbass & bass - all the way down as low as it can). This is what would make it a 2 1/2-way as opposed to a 3-way (mid-bass is not limited). However, Polk's specs do not confirm this. Someone with a broader understanding of the internal crossover may be able to tell. I would provide a picture of its crossover, but the post section does not permit uploading pics. I can tell you from what I've seen while playing them, that the bottom driver seems to behave differently than the middle driver. If it was a 2-way, the driver excursion should appear exactly the same. They do appear to be acting differently.
